So, Bran wargs into Jon Snow's nearly-lifeless body to keep him from dying?
Plausible?
The Red lady will save him by engulfing his face in her meat curtains.

The actor that plays Bran did an interview, and confirmed that he will use his powers to see the past, the present, and future. Basically, that's how we'll see the ToJ and whatnot, which was already pretty clear. But the confirmation is good, and seems to me conformation that we'll for sure learn about R+L=J, which means theres more evidemce that Jon Snow back.

Do we know if tWOW is getting released prior to the show? I don't want to watch the show before reading the book...
Same here. There have been some promising signs that GRRM has recently submitted a final transcript to his editor, but nothing substantial. If HarperCollins doesn't officially start publicizing TWoW within the next the few weeks, the odds of it getting releases before the next season will plummet.
Agreed. My favorite part is when he says "I worked on the book a couple of days ago..." like that's some kind of achievement. We all have jobs. We do our jobs yesterday, today, and tomorrow. We don't do them when we get around to it.So depressing.
And infuriating, because he recognizes that it's his own issue, and wants to sound apologetic... but I don't buy it as sincere, considering that he just keeps doing everything BESIDES working on ASoIaF (or at least it feels that way), even though he acknowledges that his side projects eat all of his time.
He never cared to beat the show to the punch. Either he's defeated, or he just doesn't care about the masses lol.
I was in the thread waiting all night. I don't think the series gets finished.
This is not book canon. Should it be in the other thread?<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YaZA6ik2ESk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Stannis lives!Game of Thrones Will Never Be Able to Do This Winds of Winter Twist - IGN
First guess is that it involves Stannis.
Second guess is that it involves Jeyne Westerling.
EDIT: Unless he's being deceitful in a douchey way and talking about Jon Snow.
I can't help but feel like the show might be influencing the direction of the books in a small way, maybe even without GRRM being fully conscious of it, and I hate that.
The plus side is that I won't have to listen to people complaining about the show changing things; GRRM pulled the rug out from under them here.
I think the fans have basically guessed all the big plot points he intended to use because it took so damn long. Now he wants to surprise people and of course he can't do that very easily without being inconsistent. I'm not optimistic we will have anything before the end of the year.
But we were told all along that the broad strokes of the show and the books would be the same, which I actually think is a bigger problem in terms of spoilers. While we can't make any specific plot conclusions about the books from the events of the show, I think it's safe to assume that characters that are either excluded or killed early in the show won't be major players in the books' endgame.(Or, it's just an inevitability that things like this will happen since the show has already ignored/merged so many characters.)

Right, that's what we were told. But as GK's post says, and as I've gathered from this newest GRRM interview, the worry is that GRRM is now trying to change things about whatever end-game he had planned so as to diverge from the show. It's something that would fit his personality lol.
I don't think it's actually going to happen that way. But it also wouldn't be a shock to see some huge twist that changes the ending of the books, relative to what the show runners think they know about the end.
So anyone buying into, even a little bit, that Meera and Jon are twins?
maybe the show this upcoming season is loaded with flashbacks/retellings (I,e. TOJ, etc) in order to give GRRM time to get TWOW done?
couple spoilers yes...but not a ton of em.
he should just focus on finishing the whole damn thing and putting it into a huge book 6.
