Hill has been good in his spot role, but is he ever going to evolve beyond that? Cage is probably my favorite out of all of those guys. Martini too. I really can't think of anything Grant or Hayes has done this year. Maybe I just wasn't watching closely enough.

To be fair to Hayes, he hadn't played until this weekend. They were planning to redshirt him all season, but due to Cage and Day getting injured he had to play.

Hayes was also named a top-10 true freshman performer by 247 this week. He was disruptive even though he wasn't usually the one making the tackle.

I know people sometimes think every player the staff signs is a diamond in the ruff, but sometimes 3 stars are 3 stars. Same with Chris Brown.

Sometimes 5 stars are 4 stars too...or they're 3 stars even.

Chris Brown isn't bad at all. I don't get the hate. He's fine as a #3 wideout.

It's a shame he got thrust into action so quickly. More so than other positions, many OL/DL guys don't reach their peak until their later years and he was so young when he started. It takes time to grow physically and mentally in the college game.

If there was any prospect we've ever had that needed the RS, it was this guy. I'll never understand why he played his freshman year, which was ST only.

6 sacks too.

Would be awesome if he was a sophomore, like everyone else his age. He's gonna get drafted as, what, a 20 yr old senior? Lot of still untapped, raw potential in him. Anyway, great year by the guy.

Did the guy skip a grade or something or whys he so young??

He moved to the US in the 6th grade. Guessing he started school early in Nigeria or something.

Guys also an accountant major. Pretty tough, especially for a football player. One of my favorite players this year.

One of the guys I always go back to and wish he had another year. He had no business playing as a freshman. One more year with Gilmore and he could've worked himself into 3rd or 4th round pick.

He has so much potential.

It will not be overlooked by the NFL.

Loved our discipline on outside contain today off play action.

That shows the corners we have turned.

He could be a 4 after this season, IMO.

He's really come on the last few games, which is interesting as Teumbetti has finally been getting more snaps. Really happy to see as I think he's a great kid. With that said, and I will get hated for this, some of his sacks are due to others pressuring into him. Day has made a lot of guys look good this year

At least he's taking advantage, it's a team sport!

I'm just gonna assume that he'll get invited to the Combine, and that'll make a big difference on where he'll end up in the NFL. If he comes in with good measurables, teams will be willing to drop a late 3 or even a 4 on him. NFL draft is all potential, so he could get drafted much higher than we think.

Did he plan any his freshman year? I cant remember

Yeah, he was forced in due to injuries on the front line. That's all I remember, can't recall the number of plays but I doubt it was more than 50 all year.

If there was any prospect we've ever had that needed the RS, it was this guy. I'll never understand why he played his freshman year, which was ST only.

Yes, he played as a 17 year old Freshman and it wasn't just ST. He played in all 13 games on ST and played in several on defense recording his first TFL in mid-season.

Just as long as I don't ever see him covering a slot receiver, in man coverage, on a 30 yard crossing route again. Kid works hard but that's just not fair to him.

He def. Will get his chance in NFL based on size and experience, will be up to him what he does with it.

Glad we got the Okwara boys tho!

That is as a young 17; I believe he was sixteen in June, after he began his first summer session.

Okwara reminds me of Farley in that everyone complained about everythin he cannot do well all the while he continues to make plays. Really happy for him.
