Offense was really clicking. Kizer was great. Defense was ok not great as usual.

18* (smh Wimbush) point win @ a solid Pitt team is pretty impressive.

Dominant performance, too bad final score doesn't show it.

Happy we won but annoyed that 42-17 turned into 42-30 because team lost discipline in the end and just got sloppy. Stylish points do matter when are ranked that high in the polls and are a vying contender for the playoffs.

1. Very happy we won
2. The brat in me is pouting we didn't win 42-17
3. The team handled their business, and didn't let Pitt drag them into the sewer for a street fight like I thought. Awesome job.

Georgia Tech part ll

Good game by Romeo, Adams. kizer 6 TDs looking phenomenal, gaining confidence and poise game by game.

Way to ease by a Pitt team that always gives us headaches. On to wake forest!!!

Oh, and a F*ck PSU!!!

I thought Farley was great... maybe he should have played the whole game, lol. The defense played a great first half.

Disagree. The committee will know that it was 42-17 and completely out of reach.

-Kizer is awesome. I don't see anyway this kid isn't the long term starter here (barring anything off the field **knock on wood**)
-We're set at RB. Josh Adams needs to see the field regardless of C.J.'s health.
-Another win over a +.500 team and it was a dominant performance except the final 2 minutes.
-Pennsylvania state champs.

I didn't get to see the first half man Kizer is special.

- that through to Hunter JR for the TD was spot on.
- Adams is a very good player. Wish he would have gotten more touches through out the year.
-even though the score doesnt show it glad to have breathing room against pitt.

-looking at the box score our defense played ok. Not very good though.

-for being a smart dude Max isn't very good.

My Observations:

1. Great performance from Adams. Very patient runner. Bright future.

2. This is the game I expected from Fuller last week. If teams are going to cover him 1-1, it won't work.

3. I thought from his play in the first half that Farley should have been on the field in the 2nd half instead of Redfield. He was active in the run game and the nice pick.

4. I'm not sure what the coaches are seeing in film for Joe Schmidt, but he needs to sit. 2 plays stand out for me . The screen pass where the CB played it perfectly forcing it inside only to have Schmidt whiff on the tackle. The second was when he blitzed and got thru the line untouched but was outrun by the QB.

5. Interesting that KVR has become the pick on CB of the defense. I think his coverage is too soft and he should have been flagged at least twice today. Also interesting on the last 2pt play for Pitt that they had Luke cover Boyd man to man instead of KVR.

6. Would love to be in the film session for Pitt when they break down the pass protection from #37. His blocking from the RB position was awful. The complete miss he had on Jaylon in the first half was laughable.

7. JP Holtz absolutely killed the Irish a few years ago and really struggled today. Had a least 2-3 drops.

The score does not reflect how we controlled the game. Kizer gets better and better every game. Hope Prosise is ok. KVR and Schmidt continue to struggle. Okwara and Jaylon played great. Shame about the late fumble.

Post Game Observations (Pitt '15)......

1. DeShone Kizer continues to mature into one hell of a QB. 19/26, 262 yards, 5 TDs passing, 1TD rushing, 0 INT. He looked much more decisive today. I don't recall a single time when he looked like he didn't know what to do with the ball behind the line of scrimmage.

2. Will Fuller is simply one of the top receivers in the game. And by that I mean the top 1 or 2 guys in the game. 7 RECs, 152 YDS, 3 TDs. You simply cannot cover him.

3. The Offensive line continued to open some pretty big holes today. And the backs took advantage of them. Shoutout to Josh Adams, who appears already to be a DI-A running back. 20 carries for 147 yards and one TD reception on the jet sweep. I am impressed with Josh Adams and his performance so far. If he continues to get stronger and faster, then he will be an amazing performer, I think.

4. Just to be clear.......... there is a lot to nitpick about this team........... some MLBers, some plays called in certain areas of the field......... but overall, this is a VERY GOOD team. For everything that we can nitpick about, there is something that someone else can point to, that appears to make up for it. We don't have elite performance at every position, and each unit does not turn in an outstanding performance in each game; but this team is 8-1 against a VERY GOOD schedule, and has shown the ability to play with just about anyone in the country, if not just anyone.

I'm giving my game ball to Will Fuller, who just keeps tearing up defenses........

WE ARE ND!!

They pulled that same quit shit against GT. That must take some celebration out of the locker room and turns into a brow beating which we can put on Kelly Wimbush and of course BVG. Pitt has very few big. Plays and they probably doubled their average. As usual Schmidt watches as plays get made around him. He is 5' 10 and 215 wet with short arms and slow........but he is the QB of our D . The same way Rees was our QB of our offense. They will both make good coaches somewhere but should be backups on DII teams.

Pitt beating Louisville, Duke, Miami to end the year would help us a lot.

Kizer was really really good. We played like a playoff team today until the last 5 minutes. A win like that against a solid team like Pitt is one our best in recent memory honestly.

Will Fuller is the kind of guy you lose sleep over if you have to play against him.

That's interesting, because what stuck out to me on that play was not that the QB outran Schmidt(lots of QBs are faster than LBs), but that the outside rusher did not get upfield and let the QB get outside of him, allowing him to escape the inside pressure by Schmidt.

- Fuller is one of the fast WRs in team history.

- Kizer was great.

- Adams did a great job filling in for Prosise. Thankfully, Prosise's injury doesn't appear to be serious. Adams has a bright future but it goes without saying that the offense loses a dimension without Prosise.

- Offensive line was great in the run game today but missed a lot of blitz pickups.

- Defense was, by and large, bad. We don't get much pressure unless we blitz and the secondary is a joke.

- Pissed we didn't win by more. 42-17 looks a lot better than 42-30. At this point in the season, style points matter. Hope we don't get punished for winning by less than we should have.

Outstanding performance by the offense.

Defense just extremely inconsistent.

Would think we take care of business the next two weeks and at the very least lock up a good bowl game but I'm greedy and want to get in and win it all despite all the injuries

Impressed with Kizer. He was lights out except for a few throws where his footwork was bad.

Adams runs hard and has a knack for getting extra yards. His acceleration and speed impresses.

Farley just flat out makes plays. He is a true leader of this team.

Schmidt is just not any good. End of story.

Fuller showed out.

Torii Hunter is really starting to contribute. Looked good on offense and looked good on the few defensive plays he got.

Newsome was a beast in the kicking game today.

Nice job all around today.

One quick thing. I wish Kelly snapped necks when it came to keeping the starters in and putting some shine on the win.

I don't want the playoff committee to have any ammo against us.

Anyone have a wide cam on the trick play sack in the first half? Was someone wide open again?

Maybe this?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">In 15 g. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NotreDame?src=hash">#NotreDame</a> LB Joe Schmidt has played whole game, ND allowing 20.9 ppg.; in 5 he missed, 41.2 ppg. Other factors, but bottom line.</p>— Tim Prister (@timprister) <a href="https://twitter.com/timprister/status/662092452514439168">November 5, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

VanGorder is the best DC in the country, period. The Irish are 8-1 while playing 10 against 11.
