We all can imagine what this might be for Temple. Penn State did the unimaginable and these kids wouldn't leave home. It's beyond a travesty and it's great recruiting on Temple's part. The lack of talent relative to ND is pretty obvious. Their running backs are pretty good and they have a couple playmakers on defense. Otherwise, they just aren't at a level where they should keep the game against us competitive. I had not seen them play until tonight and I can see why they were only just recently ranked.

Temple's second block punt! They come up with the ball at about the ECU 14-15 yard line.

The first was more of a tip with a good ECU bounce, with a holding penalty backing them up to their own 29.

A 14 yard TD run puts Temple up two scores, 24-14 with 2:18 left. Two TDs in their last four minutes of possession late in the fourth.

Pretty impressive performance from the Owls defense tonight on a short week on the road. ECU scored more vs Navy, Florida, and VATech. I think we will be about a 10pt favorite by Vegas, but hopefully ND's size and better athletes will win overtime. Going to be a great atmosphere, never would have dreamed a month ago when I bought tickets that I'd be watching a prime time game of the week with possibly game day in attendance.

If Temple was +1.5 points on a road game they'd be "the better team according to the formulas" by a slight margin.

Home Field Advantage is generally good for 2.5-3.5 points plus or minus. On a neutral site Temple would be about a 1 to 2 point favorite.

Will they be in the top 20 when they play us?

They need two teams ahead of them to lose. UCLA is up 20 and rolling against #20 Cal in the second quarter. If UCLA can limit their penalties, they will win that game no question.

That leaves one other team, and I'm not sure who drops one. Maybe #24 Ole Miss beats #15 A&M? If they do, they will probably jump Temple, because SEC. Texas Tech has a long shot against #17 Oklahoma, I guess. #18 Memphis at Tulsa? I have not watched any Tulsa games this year, but Memphis has looked good.

We'll see! Chaos has been in full effect this year in CFB!

They were #22/#24 before beating ECU. Depending what happens to others this weekend they could move inside the Top 20.

#20/19 Cal is losing tonight in first half by 13 to unranked UCLA.

#24 MISS plays #15 A&M. A&M should drop below Temple with a loss BUT SEC rules require a MISS win to vault over Temple.

An 5-2 UGA, (ORV), win over UF would vault UGA but UF probably wouldn't fall far enough.

A 5-2 TT, (OTR), upset of #17 OU could result in the same.

They aren't very impressive to me, and I usually like teams that grind things out the way they do.

Their QB looked much improved from where he was earlier in the season, but I still don't think he can do it consistently enough to keep up with ND.

First chance I have seen Temple play and they didn't look very impressive. The Irish should handle the Owls with ease.
