I asked Anna about Callaway (she has talked to him recently). She doesn't believe any coach was stopping to see him and that in the end he will end up in the SEC.

WTF
;-(
What is this in regards to?
Marquez Callaway
Warner Robins (Ga.) high school
Cornerback/Wide Receiver
Signed: Tennessee
“I say Notre Dame,” said Callaway. “You can’t beat what they offer. Not knocking the other schools, but life after football is a lot easier there. I don’t know if that’s his reasoning, but I just feel like that’s the place.”
Ugh...agree. Would be one of the most athletic kids on the roster. I wanted him to be Irish so bad. And he wanted to be Irish badly. Huge head scratchier on why ND passed.Just scored a 50 yard TD on pure athleticism... has 2 TDs on 2 targets tonight.
One of the most puzzling non-offers since Hubbard (and at least Diaco woke up on Hubbard a few months before NSD).
WRs we took in '16 -- McKinley, Claypool, Stepherson.
TN's depth chart isn't the point. It's ND's depth chart at WR and S and how Marquez could've potentially factored in. The kid is undoubtedly athletic and wanted to be at ND. This staff doesn't have the recruiting pedigree to be passing on such kids, imo.relax people...he hadn't even cracked the 2 deep...an injury in game propelled him into it otherwise you would have never seen him

Think you mean Tenn, and I agree. Especially when a kid camps at ND and everyone agrees he's the most athletic one there... but you "know better" and don't offer. And then miss on Demetris Robertson to close the cycle.
Sorry, yes. Have Georgia on the brain this week.

it is the point....he WOULDN'T have played so he wouldn't have had those opportunities....so who's to say he would have cracked our 2 deep? i certainly liked his tape and wanted him but the fact the staff there hadn't been impressed much even with their lack of depth at the position says he could've been in the same position at ND....he just happened to make the most of his opportunities..same could be said about any of our wr's depending on the game is all i am saying...on side note---i wanted him at ND as i thought he was electric
We're arguing past each other then because I'm not talking about the plays he made either. Your last sentence sums it up and is the bottom line I'm trying to get at. He was a very talented prospect who wanted to be at ND and the staff passed. It's unfortunate because, clearly, he has play making ability at the next level.

but why couldn't he crack the 2 deep for tennessee at a thin position? that's my other point
