Now this is the type of situation where you offer siblings early. Love the work we are putting in on this family pipeline.

Hopefully Equanimeous can get early playing time and success. That would only better our chances.

"I would like to get out to a Stanford game and most definitely the Notre Dame-USC game," St. Brown said. "And probably any of the local games out here with UCLA and USC because they're easy to get to.

"I'm interested to see how the game at Notre Dame is going to go. USC has a bunch of guys I played against, like Biggie [Iman Marshall], so it will be cool to see him go against my brother. I like both schools, so I want to see how they match up against each other."

I'm a bit more open-minded now about the recruiting process, but it would still be very cool to play with my brother in college," St. Brown said. "I still want to see other schools and see who likes me the best. If another school likes me more than Notre Dame, then I'd rather go there.

"I just love Stanford's education; that's the No. 1 thing for me. With UCLA, I love coach (Eric) Yarber. He has always been a great mentor whenever I've been there and he's treated us well."--rivals

What exactly does that mean? Or what do you guys think he means by that statement.

Simple. He wants to go where he is wanted. If another school is showing him more love, that might entice him to go there.

OK, that's definitely a possibility in any singular recruitment, this one included, but It's not always that simple. Being wanted and being shown "love" can definitely mean two different things. If a school contacts you everyday, is that kind of "love" real need or just procedural attention? I had schools that put on a show for me in recruiting that didn't need me and schools that did need me that were very low key in their style. Texas put on a production for my visit. Princeton was the opposite. Texas had 4 of me on the roster already. Princeton I play immediately. I wasn't going to go to Texas just because a blond in a low cut sweater took me around and flirted with me all day

It interests me how different players respond to different techniques in recruiting. Do they need adoration over truthfulness? Is it more important to have a realistic chance to play because of a favorable depth chart or is it more important to hear how good they are and that they will be a freshman All American even when the coach knows he isn't playing till he's a RS Jr at best.

Anyways, the statement hit me funny and I just wondered what others felt.

I hope he's not disappointed at the USC game when he doesn't see a true freshman CB/WR matchup, or am I way off base in thinking that?

Biggie's gonna play in that game at CB, will any Freshman receiver play for ND? I could see Biggie line-up across from AJ in the slot.

It's simple in that as a recruiter, you find out what "if another school likes me more" means, and you recruit him accordingly. If that means calling him a ton, you do it. If it means just telling him how much he is wanted and showing him he's on top of your board, you do it. Assuming he is an elite player, you just need to get him to sign. Some recruits, even players on the current team, need a little more pampering than others. Just the way it is.

I may be way off base here, but something tells me he loves and expects the spotlight.

He certainly does. There's always one brother that does. ha.

I know we will certainly give him the love, as we should, so i'm not concerned. Here's my question, does the St Brown father really let them choose their destination without his rubber stamp? It seems like all roads run through him. We have a great relationship with him. So I hope he can be a guiding force here.

The reality is that Equanimeous probably wont play a ton as a freshman. We are loaded at the position with really talented guys. I think he is mature enough to understand the process, but a kid in high school may not. If Osiris sees that his brother is seemingly "not getting love", will he look elsewhere? Will dad step in?

I hope Osiris can have fun with the recruiting process. But be an adult about it. He seems to have a higher calling than simply playing football in college. He can pursue that at Notre Dame.

I understand what you are saying, and I had the same sort of feeling. I wonder if it is because it sounds so un (St.) Brown like?

So far dad and older brother have seemed so journeyman like.

i watched the stream of both Amon-Ra and Osiris playing for Germany juniors and if I had to pick one to commit to ND it would be Amon-Ra. He's much smaller but more electric than his brother.

Even poppa Brown said that Amon-Ra will be the best out of the three brothers.

Osiris is a bigger long strider but Amon-Ra looks like he is going to be an elite slot receiver despite being a good bit shorter. He could of course grow to be much taller but at this juncture I'd rank him higher than his older brother

Guh... my HS graduating class of 130 had ten quarterbacks that threw better than those two. How can those two schools not find a decent quarterback? Crazy.

.

The Mater Dei QB is the top player in the '19 class. I saw him play La Mirada (Tyller Lautua's HS team) and he was like 17/25 for 300tyds in basically a half. The fact that a freshman is starting at a perenial top 5 national program is ridonkulous.

I'll take your word for it. That video made both of them look weak-armed and inaccurate, but to be fair it was highlighting the swings in momentum.

I was at that game at La Mirada. There are always a lot of fans wearing ND gear at Trinity and Mission League games. The older fans get it...
