Ha...both are better than what Texas has fielded since Colt left. My statement wasn't about AJ or Greg being all world, more to the tune of hoping they strike out completely with what they have in the stable. Also, neither of those quarterbacks were "mediocre" by most standards, unless we are comparing all quarterbacks to Manziel and Cam Newton types.They've won three NCs with mediocre QBs. McElroy was nothing special and McCarron is one of the most overrated players in recent memory.
Sure they don't win football games by themselves but they also don't usually lose them either. The same can be said for Golson last year, which many on this board seem to think of as the second coming of Johnny Manziel. Alabama's quarterbacks have been much better than ours over the last 4 years, and that includes 2012. Much better than about 90% of DI schools actually.
So in closing I would like for Alabama to have a string of bad luck and have quarterback issues going forward.
