Holy shit I had no idea his rating went up to a 5-star. Must get.

Im kind of over the stars but I have to admit that having this "5"star with heavy interest in us is fun and intriguing. I wanted him last year..., the fact he's now a five star on one of the services just makes it a little bit more fun.

Getting Equanimeous was so so huge. He and his brothers could give us some amazing talent for years to come.

If they all come, Do you think Pops would mind changing the last name again... to St. Browner? More fitting for South Bend.

Scout: had a great time, it was his first time actually walking into the stadium on the new field, enjoyed it.

The latter, though I started life in South Bend.

My entire family is from there or across the river. I was born in Gary though (Mill Rat)

EVille's a good ND town with all the Catholics... added to the fact that IU and UK haven't ever got it going in football. I watch games at BWW when I'm in town during the season lot's of Irish fans in there. Any place better that you know of?

Looking forward to seeing OSB and his ESB play in years to come when I'm in for visits... (added so this isn't a total highjack.)

I didn't forget about him. He's got some provin' to do first. Also, he will be known as ASB from this point forward.

Speaking of this, that would give us, ASB, ESB & OSB. Safe to say the St Brown's have a daughter named Isis and a younger son named Uranus(?)

Sadly, you're asking the wrong guy. I've got two little ones and work a lot so it's become rare that my ND football viewing doesn't involve the DVR in some way.

Pretty sure there some rules against a 2017 kid signing a LOI to play in 2015.

It's not official yet, but it looks like the St. Browns are headed to Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei. I chatted with Rivals100 wideout Osiris St. Brown, who is the brother of Notre Dame signee Equanimeous St. Brown, and he said that he's for sure leaving Anaheim Servite. He laughed when I asked if this would have any impact on his recruitment with Notre Dame

Just read this this morning when I got up on the local OC blog which I hadn't read in a while. Believe it or not, this was actually announced a week ago. This is REALLY shocking. First, that it wasn't picked up on immediately by the national boards. Secondly that I didn't hear about it at the bar where i heard some other ND related gossip and lastly... Servite is going to throw it a lot more now that Travis Waller is gone and new HC Scott Meyer and OC Oscar McBride are there with Pro style QB Tyler Lytle. You have to think if you are a Osiris fan that this is a step backwards in his recruitment, even with his brother in South Bend. If Mater Dei is their destination as speculated, they have a lot of guys at SC and having a former Irish OC at SErvite would have had to help one would think.

In regards to the bold above? What kinda laugh was that? A... "my brother is at ND, of course not" laugh or a... "I'm going to Mater Dei, duh!?" laugh?

I can't wait to hear what happened. This is some man styled soap opera material.

it was reported about a week or so on the rivals board but there wasn't really anything other than it was reported by someone on the board who is in cali brought it up...i guess the dad is VERY involved and lets the coaches know his feelings regarding football and he wasn't happy w/ the coaching decisions etc--according to someone on the rivals board who has been pretty spot on w/ cali football news

Seems back asswards. You have your three sons in a program that runs the ball with a QB that runs and basically couldn't throw (SO glad Waller didn't pick ND) and then you pull them out when you get a pass friendly HC and OC and a pro style QB.

If Dad didn't like what was going on then I bet it has to do with Terrell Bynum who had more catches, yards and TD's than Osiris last year in 3 less games. He's a Rivals 100 and Osiris is not. The word on St Brown Sr. is he's just like Todd Marinovich's dad.

As for going to Mater Dei. They have a completely untested senior QB who played just minutes last year behind Jack Lowray and the #1 player in the class of '19, QB JT Daniels coming in so if it is Mater Dei, they might have a freshman QB throwing to them. Someplace else...maybe it's ok. In the Trinity League, i doubt it.

There is a chance that they end up at SMC with Costello and Crawford. I guess Dad is shopping them and that also might be the problem with Servite. Word is he wanted Amon-Ra to go for free since he partially paid for ESB and OSB.

Wierd story.

The St. Brown family is moving from their home into another home in another school district, and per CIF rules, will be immediately eligible.

Heard that there was a disagreement between the Servite head coach and the dad

So what happens when ESB doesn't get the ball as a true freshman?

Apparently, dad hangs out on the sidelines and barks orders to his kids... sometimes in conflict to what the last coach was calling for. That is from a Trinity League blog I caught up on this morning. I will say, I did not notice this when I saw them and once I was sitting behind the staff in the first couple rows of the bleachers. To be honest, I didn't know who Mr. St. Brown was. The word is out though from fans of ALL the Trinity League teams. Mr Brown is Todd Marinovich's Dad Part II.

Maybe he tried strong arming the new HC but ran into 6-5, 300 lb Oscar McBride first and decided tackling a Powerbar was a better idea.

So are we putting ESB on transfer watch now or do we wait until the end of the season?

it's gonna be rough no matter who they play for, the boys will listen to there Dad from the sidelines, stadium etc etc instead of there coaches Doesn't make for a good situation on any team. Out of curiosity, at MD are the parents allowed on the sidelines during practice?

Good luck to Osiris and Amon-Ra where ever they land. Good luck to Rollo or Coach Curtis where ever John Brown (father) lands.

Sounds like there might be a beef with this. They moved to Brea which is much closer to Servite than Mater Dei, SMC and Bosco. Depending on where in Brea, Orange Lutheran might be closer but the others are definitely farther. If that's the case, they have to sit out the first 5 games. (or was that basketball???) It's something like that, you have to sit.

Their father is a helicopter dad much like Blake Barnetts father was. He wasn't happy with the coaches and the school. Rivals guys there is a two page thread on it right now. Of course half the posts are from fcking Dennis. Second worse fan in the ND community.

MACOMB, Mich. — It turns out that Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown made a great decision in coming to the Sound Mind Sound Body camp this week.

The 5-11, 175-pound recruit picked up some good news from the Notre Dame coaching staff, who happened to be in attendance.

My dad called coach Brian Kelly and coach let him know that I had an offer from Notre Dame," said St. Brown. "I was amazed. It’s truly a blessing. This is by far the biggest offer I’ve gotten yet. I’m shocked and amazed."

Notre Dame joins Boise State, Washington State and Utah as schools that have extended scholarship offers. Notre Dame was the landing spot for Equanimeous St. Brown, a four-star wide receiver from the class of 2015 who signed with the Irish in February. The middle brother, class of 2017 five-star wide receiver Osiris St. Brown also holds an offer from Notre Dame.

It’s amazing that Equanimeous, Osiris and I can all go to the same school," said the youngest St. Brown. "It’s great. We’ll see what happens next, but it’s great that Notre Dame made sure that we all had an offer. It’s incredible. I mean, I'm almost speechless and still in shock.”
