Ok. Here's the hot scoop. The most consistent thing I've heard is that not only was he using, he was also dealing. His roommate was also involved but to what extent is still just rumor. I've heard it go as far as his roommates dad was their distributor but I think that's bs.

Mizzou, you're doing "sec" wrong,... In Tuscaloosa they'd have made this kid offensive captin and put him on weekly CFB Live segments to 'show the righteousness of the program'... Get it right next time Mizzou, or back to the big 12 with you, where out of conference scheduling still matters.... Gasp!
