Notre Dame man!

This is why we can't have nice things, you're going to ruin the poor boy. Don't you put this evil on us, Ricky Bobby!

Also, mods, this thread's title needs to be corrected to read "Terry Jillery."

Good call, I just remembered he got hurt and hadn't seen him for a few plays but see him now!

Per 247

Per 247

Freshman nose tackle Jerry Tillery walked off the field clutching his left arm against Navy before returning later in the game. Kelly confirmed Tillery suffered a sprained elbow and bone bruise, but the freshman will be fitted for a brace and ready for practice Tuesday.

He was absolutely doing an excellent job stuffing the dive prior to the injury. Once Tillery went out, Navy started abusing us with the fullback, it was like night and day when he was out. The scary part was he was incredibly effective at it while we were in a 3-4 front. When we switched to a 4-3 while he was out the extra DT didn't actually help stop the dive at all, we were doing a worse job.

It really was striking. Looked like Cage in there mostly in Tillery's absence and they were plowing the fullback right up the middle - though to be fair the announcers were talking about a shift in scheme that Navy made around that time, so maybe not all Cage's fault.
Was watching Tillery when he went back in and he looked a touch tentative, like the arm/brace was bothering him. But figure he'll be OK by Saturday.
And, yeah, if that's the worst thing that happens in the Navy game, it's not so bad.

Yeah, it wasn't so much a knock on Cage, but more so I came away impressed how Navy wasn't really even trying the middle while Tillery was in there. When they did, it usually got blown up badly. Not necessarily by Tillery himself, but he was clogging the middle and allowing other guys to make plays. More often than not though, Navy saw that the middle wasn't there while Tillery was in and they opted to run outside.

First of all, I hope he didn't think about giving hurling a try. Quick way to get killed. Secondly, Is that Chris Clark standing next to Terry? If so, where is he transferring to... ND or Dublin Hurling?

Have some friends in the Irish american football scene who managed to run into Jerry when he was in town and by all accounts he is a very impressive kid.

"A Season With Notre Dame Football": The Best Terry Jillery Moments - Slap the Sign - A Notre Dame Fighting Irish Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.

So here’s to Terry Jillery, the 305-pound future doctor and U.S. president who isn’t in love, doesn’t like pedicures, wants to ride a sheep, owns just a few shirts, and wears his football helmet while using a porta-potty. He is an American treasure, let alone a Notre Dame gem, and everyone needs to know about him and celebrate him and bask in his presence on campus for the next few years.

I am in tears right now! I've watched all of that unfold on the series, and reading it made it all that much more funny. (the writer does a good job with his observations as well) The segment when Day gets on Terry's case about flaking on pedicures just kills me! What an awesome young man and true #RKG.

The writer is a hilarious guy. I lived across the hall from him for two years, and he never ceased to make someone laugh hysterically. He's written a few more things for that website, but this one has to be my favorite:
