You've given it a good fight GK, but I think it's time to give this one up.
When Jay Hayes transfers or rides the bench the rest of his career I'll be back.

And you think that'd be a result of him getting in trouble for the tweet, rather than whatever lead up to the tweet?
I think this entire debate is moot, because the media knew exactly what Hayes did, and knew that BK was punishing him for it.
If BK doesn't answer the question about the obvious tweets that everyone saw, he'd look like a chump.
Now, when it is strictly rumors, and nothing is out in the open? Keep it that way. But in this instance, Jay put it out there, so everyone already knew. Why should BK dance around the issue?
And that will prove he's not acting like child how? When Jay Hayes transfers or rides the bench the rest of his career I'll be back.

HOW DARE YOU ,SIR, try to bring thought and logic to an internet message board debate!
I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!!!!!

I find it kind of funny that you penalize a kid who bitched about not playing by suspending him from playing. Some harsh shit right there!
He's not suspended from playing. He can play today if needed. He was suspended from staying with the team in the hotel last night.
I don't get why any bench guy would bitch before UMASS. This is the week he may have played!

So when Holtz sent Brooks and Watters back to South Bend from southern california before the game after they showed up late for a team meeting and Holtz simply said to the media, "They violated team rules," he was a chump?
Holtz didn't dance around the issue. He succinctly established that he wasn't dancing to the media's minutiae.
So when the media says, "has Hayes been punished for his tweets that we all saw?" And BK says, "it was a violation of team rules," what's the difference? Either way, Hayes is getting punished, and everyone knows it was for whining about coaches on Twitter. No need to be generic about it.
"He violated team rules and it was handled internally."
End of matter.
Even a ESPN blogger would move on. Instead it became front page news and was carried by all the football media.
And fans like you keep it alive.
A story about a benched player whinning ... .
FYI - I don't think this ever made first page of anything (because it's not a big deal and no one outside of ND fans care).
I checked ESPN immediately when it was reported as front page. It wasn't on the home page.
I went to ESPN's CFB page. It wasn't there.
I searched 'Notre Dame' within ESPN's site. It was the third article from the top. Never was anything to see here, still isn't.
It was front page news the moment Hayes hit "send". That's on him, not Kelly.
Did I say it was?
Please quote me where I did.

But as Quote Investigator points out, there's absolutely no evidence that Albert Einstein ever said this. In fact, the origin of this quote can be traced to a movie. It appears the quote is an altered version of a manufactured Einstein quote from the 1995 film Powder.
tee-hee, tee-hee

It definitely made the front page of ESPN.com.

yup, pretty sure I saw it on the front page
maybe the Wiz can confirm
I saw it there as well. Also, had a co-worker mention it to me.
