Blacklivesmatter is about police killing blacks. Just because he claims race, doesn't discredit anyone who is black. I'm not a supporter, I'm just saying his race doesn't automatically link him with blacklivesmatter, which is what you were saying, and why two other people also called you out on it.

How and where did you see me say that there was any link between the two? If you think #blacklivesmatter is only a movement in regards to police killing black folks then you aren't really up to speed on the topic you're trying to speak on. IT goes far beyond that in society, and in political intent. My point is what it is, and what I stated it is, not your loose interpretation or misrepresentation of what it is.

How about someone starts a #BlackLivesMatter thread and all that shit gets moved there. From any thread it seeps in to.

Sweet now they can catch him and use enormous amounts of tax payer money to hold him in custody, make sure he gets the fair and equal trial that he never gave these two victims, and if we're lucky tax payers will pay for him to spend the rest of his life in jail. Would be much cheaper and more reasonable in my mind at this point to just start tying guys like this to a tree, putting two in his head and leave him there...let his family bear the time and expense to come untie him and figure out what to do with him after that.
My heart goes out to the families of these reporters and really any family that loses loved ones to a worthless POS like this.

Wonder what the #blacklivesmatter folks would have to say about this.

Please refrain from using this tragedy as a way for you to push your political leanings onto the board. If you want to do that, take it to the politics thread. Nobody wants to hear it here and it's annoying.

Coward's way or not, glad he's gone. Wish he had the sense to do that before taking two others with him. Society's moral compass and ability to self manage through adversity is really pointing in the wrong direction more and more with each passing day.
Hopefully the 3rd shooting victim ends up OK.

Sure, maybe in a PM you could explain to me exactly what my political leanings are?? That the guy is a POS, it is tragic for the victims and their families, bad people come in all colors and creeds and pushing an agenda in favor of one vs the other is foolish and looks foolish when you only play the victim's role and fail to acknowledge right now in this world it happens with every race and religion, not just yours. My "political leanings" are there is no nationwide conspiracy against black folks, and tragedies like this unfortunately occur everywhere. My only "political leaning" would be stop complaining about the perceived problems, and start offering solutions that equally protect and benefit all people. It is disgusting that things like this are becoming so commonplace that those committing the acts of violence seem to be trying to one up previous occurrences to garner more attention and impact...and yet here we are, it is all over the news and internet message boards.

Per Fox update, WDBJ where the slain worked is reporting that Williams is not dead but in critical condition.

That guy is just a dude with a thousand+ followers, but that's pretty much what you can find all over social media right now from people who support #BlackLivesMatter. The movement is not about "police violence"... it's about dividing people on race.

I don't know why an exceptionally improbable, freak occurrence like this that affects people I don't know bothers me as much as it does, but I'm stuck in a loop of thinking "what if I was in this guy's shoes?" and I don't really know how I'd go on with life. Just fucking tragic on so many levels.

And then it bothers me to no end seeing people try to politicize the situation for their ends. Especially the race baiters.

This really should all be in a separate thread guys,... no??

With that said it's unreal to me that anyone would think racist remarks are worth a person's life... and I'm sorry, how many racist remarks has Ras Da Destroyer made in his lifetime that would warrant a death sentence???

The video from the shooter's point of view is hard to watch. You want to tell them to run, but it's too late. It looks like he raises the gun to them just feet away, then drops it as if he reconsidered briefly. It's amazing they didn't react to that, it's unbelievable how professional reporters can be, they're trained not to react to bystanders. My first instinct is to turn when someone points at me. Such a horrible loss, those reporters shouldn't have died today.

The only difference between what you said, and that idiot, is there isn't an italic font on Twitter.

So freaking sad for the families and friends of all associated with this tragedy. I'm getting so sick of this bullshit.

I watched it, and I noticed he had the gun aimed at the reporter, but reconsidered and waited for her to be live on the air before he fired. He waited for the camera to face her so it would be live. He definitely wanted it to be done on air.

Quotes from his manifesto. In reference to motivation:
“Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15…What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

In applause of other mass shooters (Virginia Tech gunman and Columbine):
“Also, I was influenced by Seung–Hui Cho. That’s my boy right there. He got NEARLY double the amount that Eric Harris and Dylann Klebold got…just sayin.'”

This is precisely why I said I wondered what they would have to say on this...regardless of whether it is appropriate or not, it is relevant...which in itself is unfortunate. To not see or understand that is naive (not speaking to you in that comment, just a general comment). I don't necessarily like the world the way it is, but I have an awareness of it.

NO...see the part I bolded. Dude is a racist loon, and yet politicians will still use him to reach an audience. Conservatives do it too...yet many on here think ONLY conservatives do it. That point has nothing to do with being a racist Loon...which he is, and I am not.

So freaking sad for the families and friends of all associated with this tragedy. I'm getting so sick of this bullshit.

.

I wasn't calling you a racist. That word gets thrown around way to often. I was just pointing out you hate this guy for politicizing this horrible act of violence, yet you made a politically charged joke. In rereading my original post I could have done a better job of making that point. I was going for pot and kettle and ended up with something completely different.
