Barnett decommitted from ND on June 4th, 2014. Wimbush committed October 7th. 4 months between commitments and an additional 4 months until Wimbush ultimately signed with Notre Dame. During that time, Notre Dame actively recruited Henry until he ultimately chose FSU over ND. They were beat out - it's that simple.
ND got a visit on two occasions after Barnetts decommitment prior to the Wimbush commitment. Between those visits he had proclaimed FSU his leader in August.

College coaches don't "ease up" on recruiting their number 1 target at QB - especially when you consider everything that can happen over the course of a 4 year collegiate career. Some kids get injured, others don't pan out, some transfer. If Kelly things Henry was the best in this class it would make absolutely no sense for him to stop recruiting Henry, especially knowing that he would chose a school early on.

Just got kicked out of IMG. Obviously, he will fit in perfect at Florida State.

What for? Acting like a jackass in the cafeteria, steeling from the local grocery store, raping a young woman...?

Well of course, Newberg (FSU guy) at 247 is saying that is was a mutual. Apparently, this has been going on for weeks. The new coach they brought in is bringing a spread system versus pro style (weinke's system) and he wasn't interested anymore. However, I don't believe that BS at all.

Might get a better idea of what Jones Jr. will look like at ND.

The "whispers" are that he is an extremely me-first, entitled person who was expecting to have to do no work at IMG and just play football... and took a very bad attitude when they wouldn't cater to him like a star. The new coaches wanted nothing to do with him and made a decision they didn't want him on the team for this next year.

This all seems to fit with their statement. A "mutual" parting of ways wouldn't require a goddamn press release about the decision the institution had to make... he would just transfer to another school...

Wright's gonna run it. He did at Carmel, he will there. I can see the frustration Henry would have with the new system. Not only is it his senior year but he just moved 2000 miles to play at IMG. Bad news for Henry will be good news for Jones. He'll put up arcade #'s in the new system. Maybe it's back to Cali for Henry and one of the Catholic schools like Notre Dame or Crespi? I doubt going back to Westlake is an option. Prime Time Prep in Dallas is like IMG... maybe that's an option?

This is true. I am not going to say he's as bad as Josh Rosen was last year with his "me" attitude, but the cockiness is definitely there. In his defense, the coaching staff was very up-front, maybe to much about how he wasn't what they were looking for at QB. Hopefully he finds a place to play and learns from this experience. All kinds of talent

Welp, he picked the right school. They'll have no issues catering to every part of his selfish persona.

FORT WORTH — After nearly three years of high hopes, scandal and a glowing portrayal on a national TV show, Prime Prep Academy finally collapsed Friday afternoon under the weight of financial mismanagement.

Its state-appointed board determined that the charter school co-founded by ex-NFL star Deion Sanders was too deep in debt to continue operating. New Superintendent Alan King told the board that Prime Prep had $60,000 in the bank and about $710,000 in debt. That included about $200,000 needed for Friday’s paychecks, which weren’t issued.

IMG has had academic all-americans and rhodes scholars come through its ranks, i don't think PTP can say the same lol

I thought Henry was a dual-threat?

He is- #1 rated in the country I believe. That's part of why this reeks of BS.

He's NOT. Don't believe any of the reports that he is. He's an ok athlete, not great. I think he plays slow like Golson did... but EG is a MUCH better athlete than Henry. He rushed for 300 yards on about 75 carries. Back out the scrambles and sacks and he still was less than impressive. He may have had 4-5 designed run plays a game.

The odd thing is he only threw for 2000 yards at a 50% clip with 15/5 TD/INT's He is the definition of MEH. Without looking back in this thread I think I had him at #9 in the LA/IE/OC area last year and I'm thinking that was maybe too high now. I don't see it with this kid... I thought he left so he wouldn't be embarrassed by KJ Costello this fall. Rating Henry above Costello is the most asinine thing I've ever seen in recruiting history.

Ouch...can't they just change the name to Sub-Prime, go BK and reorganize? I'll see myself out.

Malik looked like garbage last night in the 7on at The Opening. Can't see how he is the #1 DT QB in the land. Haskins totally outplayed Malik in every aspect. I think there should be some updated rankings after this week and Malik should not hold the top spot IMO.

Malik is not a DT, he's a Pro style, first page needs to be updated. According to 247 hes the 3rd best behind Eason and Patterson. Costello and Haskins are behind him.
