USC: According the Baltimore Sun, Steve Sarkisian has offered the offensive line job to Baltimore Ravens assistant offensive line coach Todd Washington. At this point, Washington has not decided whether to accept the offer. In other news, USC offensive line coaches Mike Summers and James Cregg are on the way out, as is linebackers coach Mike Ekeler.

Washington: According to the Seattle Times, Chris Petersen will meet with Justin Wilcox today. Staying at Washington remains a possibility for Wilcox.

USC: Do not be surprised if Sark lures Marques Tuiasosopo to Los Angeles. A source tells me at this point that it's more likely that Tuiasosopo ends up at USC than remaining at Washington

Wilcox was Peterson's def coordinator at BSU before going to Washington. Most of the BSU dudes I talked to thought he was going the get the head coaching gig at BSU, so I am guessing that he will stay at Washington with Peterson.

How much do you all think this will effect the recruiting world for Bama and Texas if this does happen?

Am I the only one who thinks Texas signing Saban to a ten-year contract would be a mistake for Texas and Saban?
Dude's 62. He's won all there is to win already. He's used to controlling a much smaller pond under a considerably less-intense microscope. The expectations will be out of control. Sure, the money's great but he won't have time to spend it anyway. It's really hard to stay at the top of big-time college football for as long as he has, let alone another decade.
I dunno. I think he'd be better off retiring from Bama in a couple of years and they'd be better off getting someone younger.

Have you ever been to Bama? Do you realize how much of religion UA football is there? People literally live and die over it.

As bad as that is, it's not the same a shooting and killing a fellow fan for not being upset enough over a loss.

I'm not sure which is worse, actually.

If someone ripped my ball out of it's sack, then I would hope that a fellow nd fan would shoot me and put me out of my misery.

Don't forget the ball sacks that have been placed in one's mouth either.

I mean, in addition to Wooly and Acamp having their boys' night out shenanigans with one another.

The Texas Coaching Search 2013, from Prevail and Ride/Shaggy Bevo

As usual, theres lots of MS Paint penii, so NSFW
Texas Coaching Search Quagfuckmire in MS PAINT

This was amusing though, a look at the behind the scenes Texas politics as we've discussed. I didn't realize it was this complicated:

kudos to his agent....he's really just an ok coach imo

Johnny Manziel deserves some of the credit as well.

We'll find out over the next year or two. As long as Sumlin can get even average QB play from whoever replaces Manziel, they will continue to throw the ball all over the place. They are loaded with good, young WRs. The real question is if the o-line will continue to be above average and if Sumlin can find an answer for the team's defense.

Didn't see anyone mentioning this and thought this would be a good place to bring it up.

NCAAF Six players to leave Gators - ESPN

Does this spell the end for champ

Don't know why it would, most of them aren't playing. And if Muschamp was going this year, the drumbeat would be a lot louder at this point, wouldn't it? If for no other reason than they'd have to hire a new coach right about now. He's got one more year.

100% speciation on my part but I would guess Hendrix would go with Martin if he were to leave for Miami (OH)

I really doubt it. He's academically a senior, going to med school, and has no future in football.

Really doubt it. I think he'd more likely stick around another year at ND and then just go to med school... unless he really, truly believes he can be an NFL caliber QB or has some itch to scratch in the MAC.

Notre Dame's Welch, Hendrix likely to transfer to Miami (Ohio) - chicagotribune.com

About that......

Makes a lot of sense. Both are from Cincinnati and both already know the offense.

Every short list I've come across keeps reiterating the same names:

-Saban: cross him off
-Harbaugh: cross him off
-Tomlin: highly doubt it
-Malzahn: highly doubt it
-Shaw: doubt it
-Franklin: my guess is he's the one

Feel bad for Mack. People say he's a class act and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Tough to see how shitty Texas has handled this

Briles 100% has to be on any list out there.
