I think the big, penultimate episode will almost surely have to be Daenarys getting married, simply for the action (unless they make Jon Snow being stabbed a much more dramatic series of events).

Arya and Jon Snow will be the cooldown and the cliffhanger in episode 10, I bet, and Sansa could fit into either episode.

I thought the sandsnake part was good character development. In the books, you get a whole intro chapter where you learn about them and how they freely use sexuality as both a tool and just because that's part of their personalities being a little vain like their father.

I thought the scene with Bronn established that, and that they use poisoned weapons, and brought a specific type of poison from the book into the show, and that they aren't "bad" even if vain/hot headed since she ultimately saves Bronn (just like how she gets legitimately sad that her kings guard buddy she was manipulating gets killed when it all goes wrong in the book).

Show people will freak when snow gets ganked.

Did it bother anybody else that the show explicitly mentioned that Balon Greyjoy is still alive and kicking over in Pyke but Stannis is honestly considering murdering his own daughter based on the power of king's blood? Mel's magic was supposed to kill ALL the usurpers, not two out of three. Stannis wouldn't sacrifice Shireen based on a maybe.

Woups. She's Doran's daughter, right? Is she not in the show at all?
Nope. Awesome POV characters obviously need to be cut to make room for Wildling Orphan Boy, Random Whore from Winterfell, and Second Random Whore From Winterfell, aka the Kennelmaster's Daughter,

there's no way the stabbing of snow will be on the show this season is there?

that gets us to end of book 5.

does aemon targ death bed ramblings portend the new "starks other bastard" theory has legs in any way to any of you?
(setting the stage...?)

No. FAegon, Jon Connington, the Half-Maester, and the rest of that crew seem to have completely cut from the show (which doesn't bode well for FAegon's importance in the big picture).

Aemon's death sets the stage for Jon sending Sam and Gilly to Old Town (though it seems like he'll be spending a lot of screen time at Horn Hill based on the recent casting call for season 6).

thanks for the link!

looks like lot of tarly and greyjoy filler for season 6.

was always wondering why show didn't do more on the whole greyjoy crew...was so much in the books on the lot of them.
now looks like next show season will be lots of ironborns. perhaps too much IMO.

also not a fan of a lot of sam and the tarlys. (ps does that baby ever age?)

pray they don't go "john sparrow" for the "pirate" referenced in that casting call... :)

Pretty sure it will be the last scene of episode 10. I think all the major plot lines will be roughly where they are in the books right now by the end of this season.

Personally, I'm thrilled they went a little past the book with Tyrion actually meeting Daenerys. I'm really interested to see how that plays out.

That felt anticlimactic to me. The two fan favorite characters finally meet at... a minor league fighting pit?

Pretty sure they're waiting to kill off Balon until Milisandra proposes to sacrifice Shireen. That way Stannis will be against it until he sees her original prophecy fulfilled and then go along with it as a means to gain the crown. Either way who cares cause the show has been ruined with the way this season is turning out.

Joran has grey scale.

How does that turn out in the book and is that along the storyline?

Jorah no have greyscale in the books. Jorah is assuming some of the storyline of a different character, Jon Connington, who is not in the show. That character gets greyscale during a similar incident. Connington is still alive and in Westeros.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. They did a pretty nice job condensing the eastern stuff, and now they are cutting to the chase.

/r/asoiaf's BryndenBFish just updated his Winds of Winter resource post, which tracks everything known and/or reported about TWoW thus far. Some very interesting quotes in there for those who are interested.

Someone asked if "Howland, Eddard and Jon were the only people to leave the Tower of Joy alive," and GRRM amusedly said that, "Howland and Eddard" were the only people to leave the Tower of Joy alive. Which seems to throw a wrench in some versions of R+L=J.

Interesting quote gleamed from that...

upon firther review....in that link looks like someone comfirmed the exchange this way:

"Guy that was at the con said it happend like this:

Someone asked if "Any other MEN besides Ned and Howland left the ToJ?" GRRM replied with no other MEN left ToJ. (This questions could have been worded a little better to get a better answer) George didn't like this question since the person who asked the above question was kinda pushy.

he(GRRM) specifically said no other Men (When the person tried to clarify her question, she said did any other men leave, he took it and ran with it) . BUT, technically, Jon was a boy. I must say, he really didn't want to answer this question, So I think he just wanted to move on."

That was crazy! Someone help my memory because I can't find my book but it wasn't Jon that went to Hardhome in DwD, right? Wasnt it Cotter Pyke?
