Amazing that a kid who was told by the coach who has just won the national title that he was going to start as a freshman chose ND. Says alot about Meyer as a recruiter

my fav 11W commentator so far:
Hate to say it, but honestly, when I saw his interviews, I really noticed that he did not have the personality that our guys have and truly thought he would not fit in because of it. Not meant as a slight at all, but he seemed a bit insecure and uncomfortable around the bright lights. Not a very big personality like most of our guys. I dont think he was very comfortable with the rock star type of atmosphere that is OSU. Good luck anyway.

Do we have a shot at having our best O-line haul ever?

Doubtful ... "ever" is a long, long time.

Leahy, Pashegian, and Holtz had a number of great OLines from OLine Classes. ND's 2016 Class will be restricted overall by numbers kind of tough to be the best haul ever if there's only 3 or 4 OLs in the class.

This already is one of the best OL classes since Holtz AND Cerratto left. If you look back at the recruiting classes of the late 80's you'll find this OL class to the Cerratto Standard.

A hugh difference between those days and now, besides today's scholarship limits, is Harry is out on the road recruiting as well as coaching/developing. Joe Moore hated recruiting and stayed in South Bend. Cerratto did the talent evaluating and relationship building with recruits when he was the full time recruiting co-coordinator.

If the quarterbacking can approximate the quality of the whole rest of the current and future offensive recruiting, we and young Mr. Eichenberg are going to play Big Boy Kickass Football for a long time. And if the defensive recruiting stays at recent BVG levels, we and young Mr. Eichenberg are going dancing at the playoffs very soon.

Good choice young fellow, in almost any way you can imagine. Notre Dame is THE university.

Going into Ohio and grabbing the two best lineman in the state in the first class after OSU wins a title. That's just ridiculous.

Go Irish!

Very nice class developing here. I love these big time O-line pickups so early on. Love the depth and direction of the program. Is "come to Ohio State or lose to Ohio State" really a thing over on that board? Some crazies for sure.

In a couple of years this line may be as good as the Bama line we faced in the NCG.

I love stealing two of the best prospects from Urbie's Clan. It is sad reading the posts on 11W! Purple faced warrior, scared of the Big Ten, 40 years of the next 40 without a ring, etc...! I love seeing them filled with sorrow after getting their cupboards raided. Keep up the good work staff and Go Irish!!! Welcome Liam!

P.S. Who's Next...

You're gonna make me say it: I think we are already there if we keep our health. I really don't want to be a homer but if we see marginal improvement from the incumbents and strong additions from McGlinchey and Nelson/Bars, then we are in for a treat.

Stanley - projected 1st rounder
Elmer - I'm guessing 3rd-5th rounder?
Martin - 3rd-5th rounder?
McGlinchey/Bars/Nelson - too early to tell but damn if they don't have the frame, talent and coaching to turn into top-level talent.

This.
Such a great foundation. HH needs a raise. The base we have right now will make it so much easier to pull in blue chip QBs and RBs. Not to mention they will make non-blue chippers look like blue chippers.

Total ridiculous. Fuck Urban Liar

It could be worse. I saw a kid snort cayenne pepper in high school. The aftermath was humorous.

It was chalk dust in grade school back at old St. Pats.

I love the fact that Elevenwarriors have spent more time talking about losing Eichenberg than they have on the two commits they got today. The butt hurt is strong.
