It looks like its already been posted but my wife works on the field during game days and she received information the game is going to be invitation only.
Please tell your wife I would like 5 invitations
Yup, that was announced weeks ago.It looks like its already been posted but my wife works on the field during game days and she received information the game is going to be invitation only.
Had to, otherwise potential recruits couldn't be there.Lol! I wish I could help you with that. They were considering Soldier Field in Chicago but they back away from that quickly. They wanted it on campus.

No room for cameras suitable for TV at labar I believe. Why wouldn't NBC televise the B&G game as in years past?

Just because Notre Dame Stadium isn’t open for business doesn’t mean the Blue-Gold game will be interrupted. After considering off-campus venues like Soldier Field and Lucas Oil Stadium, Brian Kelly will hold his final practice of the spring, the 86th annual Blue-Gold Game, on the LaBar Practice Fields. And it’ll be televised by NBC Sports Network.
Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m on NBCSN. With limited seating options available due to the sheer logistical challenges of housing a spring game on practice fields no equipped with bleachers, Notre Dame won’t be selling tickets to the general public.
Monday afternoon NBC Sports announced that they’d still broadcast the annual scrimmage, giving fans the ability to see the progress made this spring by a promising Fighting Irish squad. It’ll be their first extended look inside the gates of the Irish practice facility.
The game will not only air on NBCSN, but it’ll also stream on the NBC Sports Live Extra App. Brian Kelly will be wired for sound, in addition to several players, along with interviews of current and former players.
After the logistics of this game were up in the air with Notre Dame Stadium undergoing significant construction as part of the Campus Crossroads renovations, finding a way to host this game on campus and still bring it to broadcast is a great final result, not to mention a nice consolation prize for fans used to making the annual trek to the spring game.
Notre Dame will also likely utilize the weekend for another recruiting event.

A defensive TD should be worth at least double what an offensive TD is worth, even though it's unlikely to happen. It's at least twice as hard to score a defensive TD. How many did we have last year? How many offensive TDs? I'm guessing it's closer to 25:1 so even a 4:1 pt differential would be better.
One. Austin Collinsworth returned a fumble for a TD against Northwestern. Would've been two if Shumate's pick six against Michigan had counted. Opposing teams, however, had 4. All of them were Everett Golson pick sixes.

It will always count in my heart...

What's the Under/Over on Big Chunk plays by:
Fuller - A true threat but his yards won't count unless his arms are extended from this body.
Prosise - Rocket WHO?
Brent - Will he score more on the gridiron than in a limo?
Ziare -"QBs are live but the defense can't hit them" Sounds like a track meet to be.
Folston blocking better than ever but will he be allowed to carry.
Bryant - Will he get more yards in a B&G Game than Tim O'Neill or the kid from The Hun School?
Golson - All receptions will be only due to fantastic catches by an outstanding receiver corps. Any rushing yds will be assigned to happy feet and an inability to "run" through his progressions.
