My fiancé wanted to see Kingsman (not Fifty Shades!!!) for Valentine's Day.

I thought it was fantastic. I'm no Bond afficianado, but I thought it was a good, modern application of the formula. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I watched Noah last weekend. It was appallingly bad. Bad in a way that everyone involved in producing it should be flogged and forced to listen to the 8 CD collection of Roseanne Barr Sings Britney Spears And Milli Vanilli over and over and over while eating ExLax brownies laced with jalapenos and drinking spoiled milk. Yeah, it was that bad.

As Above, So Below. Shit movie. Great idea, terrible execution.

Thats the only movie ever that has given me terrible motion sickness from the shakey cam. At one point i had to leave the theater because i thought i was going to vomit.

Good movie. Sounds like you and I did the same thing tonight. After hearing a few comments about the fifty shades movie, I'm glad I went to this one. Lol. I enjoyed the movie and thought it had more humor than the Bond movies. Overall, it was entertaining but I don't know if I would watch it again, but that's just my opinion.

Watching Pasolini's Gospel According to St Matthew. It's dubbed into English and tbh, I prefer the subtitled version.

I did not know that Big Night was on Netflix. I'm happy it is though.

Watched the Babadook last night. Pretty good flick. More unsettling than scary.

Watched Whiplash this last weekend. Excellent, excellent film. J.K. earned his Oscar and the editing was fantastic. Scenes in that movie were way more exciting than any action movie I've seen in the last 3 years.

Saw Chappie tonight, was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a good watch

It definitely had its share of flaws but ive been surprised by the overwhelming negative reception it got.

That final scene was so tense! I feel bad for people that missed seeing it in theaters. I don't know if ive been that engrossed by a movie in a long time.
Has anyone seen Birdman?

Wasn't a fan.
I thought it was an interesting movie with some strong performances, but not worthy of best picture at all. It's just another movie with a gimmick that the academy falls in love with but viewers will forget about in 5 years.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - terrible
Big Hero 6 - Okay but most of the funny parts were in the trailers

Thus, the deal sharing with Marvel and the partnered re-boot. (Hopefully soft re-boot and not the origin story again...unless done in a quick flashback/ montage scene)

speaking of montage...

Nebraska is very good. Bruce Dern is still a great actor. Shot in B&W which made it even better. Those with elderly parents will like it. You youngsters who haven't had to deal with elderly parents yet, may not care for it.

"Olympus Has Fallen." Solid action flick, good execution of the patented "Die Hard" formula. I like the hard-edged, R-rated type of flick that it is; none of this rounding off the sharp corners to make a PG-13 film. Nothing spectacular, just a very watchable movie that clips along at a good pace.

Rented "Horrible Bosses 2" last week.

I loved the first film, one of my favorite comedies. Charlie Day is fantastic, and the trio of Day, Sudeikis and Bateman works well in striking with my own personal humor.

The second film didn't start off well. After the first thirty minutes, I was feeling kind of disappointed and was bummed that I was going to be let down... and then the rest of the movie went into overdrive, and I laughed nearly the entire rest of the way.

I'm completely immature and easily amused, but I won't apologize for loving this movie just as much, if not a little bit more, than the first.

Will Forte's new show "The Last Man on Earth" is hilarious. I highly recommend it.
