Was told direct quotes were ok, so trying this out to save time:

"I call LaFleur just about every weekend to kind of check in." "He tells me that they are kind of a little old school when it comes to handing out offers, so to just be patient."

"I'm just kind of feeling things out right now." "I'm going to be spending five years with the coaches at the school I pick, so I want a staff that I'm comfortable with. I also want a good program with a good fan base, so I can get the full experience while in college."

"I really like Notre Dame. "I like Coach LaFleur and I would like to get back there soon. I have gotten to know LaFleur pretty well. He's a laid back guy and I'm a laid back guy so it's easy to talk football with. I could really see him coaching me some day."

"At this point I feel really good with where I'm at with Notre Dame."

Well done, Koon. Direct quotes are always OK, because quotes can never be protected media... what someone says is always free to be repeated.

Wiltfong said to not read too much into that. He's the top QB in 2017 for ND, even though others are reporting offers before him.

Also, rivals rated him as the best offensive performer at the Las Vegas Pylon 7 on 7. Ahead of guys like Devon Modster QB, Jacob Eason QB, Darian Owens WR, and Kneal Harry WR.

Wiltfong treats CBs as the current state of a subject's recruitment, rather than prognosticating a final NSD decision. That's all fine and good, but it's yet another example of how the 247 CB system is worthless. If every analyst has a different criteria for how they apply CBs, then what's the overall point?

Bearing that in mind, Wiltfong believes that PSU has the best relationship with Hunter at this point. 23 months until signing day. I'm not worried about James Franklin and his spray bottles.

ISD saying that Kelly left a written note in his office for Hunter, since he could not be on campus for the visit. This visit was all about Johnson and Sanford anyway. Possibly returning for the spring game (which would mean skipping the Penn State spring game). That would be huge!
