Technically, he is titled recruiting coordinator, but I get ur point.
True, I didn't even think about it like that. I was more focused on Offensive/Defensive.

If he ever wants to hire a good coach again he'll do his part for Alford, and the next guy.
Alford is leaving at some point, more than likely soon. You might want to get emotionally prepared.
The good news is that IE wants Kelly to get an OC and this opens up that room.
My guess, if Cowherd is right and Harbaugh doesn't go, is Pinkel.

i'm happy for Alford if he aspires to be the HC at Colorado St and gets the gig.
wouldn't be my goal...but I understand his history there.
I honestly feel if he plays his cards right over time he could end up somewhere much better. ND a better launching pad to a better gig then CSU IMO.
again, if this is in fact, Tony's "dream school" (sorry) then i'll be happy for him.
hope he realizes that ND is an easier sell than CSU on the recruiting trail...and that "great recruiter" doesn't automatically translate to "great head coach".
Alford is only the WR/RB's coach. I see that Kansas gave the keys to a position coach, but that's rare, isn't it? Usually OC/DC to headcoach, not position coach to HC.
Tweet is bad grammar or something... I don't understand what he's getting at.

Worked out well for Urbie.
how so? he (urbie) was a WR coach, not HC, and was 10 yrs younger than alford is now, when he got the CSU WR assistant coachinh gig.
apples and oranges IMO
my gut feel is basically this: I just don't see tony, or anyone, ever being a success at CSU. its one thing to be like someone said above: at a better football school than a umass or a uconn etc but to me Id like to see tony end up somewhere he can actually do well if he does leave.
but I guess its "nowhere to go but up" at CSU...
If you want to have some fun go check the possible Michigan candidates rivals has up for the job it's hilarious:
Stoops both of them lol
Chip Kelly rofl
Harbaugh both of them They can't be serious
Sean Payton They wish
Pat Fitzgerald Only one in the list that would ever happen this year, but still doubt it
David shaw lol nope
Mark richt Wow, Richt is their solution? Still not happening though
