BK has this team close to perianal top 5 status.
Perianal? Meaning "around the anus"? Maybe you meant to post this in the Justin Brent thread.

Exactly. That is why it sometimes gets tiresome that Kelly is held to the Saban standard by some fans. Almost no one in history has done what Saban is doing right now at Alabama. To hold anyone to Saban's standard is unrealistic and completely unfair. Kelly is a top 5 coach in the game right now and I believe he wins at least 1 title (hopefully more) before he leaves ND.Not sure if Saban's 'Bama is a realistic bar for "reloading". No one else in the country reloads like they have over the last few years. You could argue their current football dynasty is unmatched in CFB history.
Some of Te'Von's thoughts and reasoning on why he chose ND. Interesting to know that he wasn't sure of his decision until this morning.

This is going to sound cliche, but with each passing year, I care less about recruiting rankings. Kelly's staff is crazy good at evaluating talent, so there's a very good chance many of our 3recruits are going to turn into very productive players.
Consider our star receivers this year. Will Fuller's best offers (other than ND) were PSU, BC and Rutgers. He was a high 3/ low 4
that we flipped from PSU late in the cycle with little very fanfare. And Corey Robinson, as a very low composite 3
, wasn't even on the radar for another major program.
Point being, Kelly is a boss at scouting and developing talent, so the recruiting rankings mean much less for us than they once did.
I totally agree, I was just more commenting on the topic since it was brought up. I really just like following rankings for the prospect. Its cool to see their progress and then when they are rewarded for their hardwork. I think this class is very similar to every other year where we have some really good football players that the services just don't get.

Hopefully the 2007 UCLA version...
That game was so weird. It was like he was possessed by the spirit of a really good football player for one night.
Good article on the newest member of the class.
Coney Picks Notre Dame - Irish Sports Daily
The four-star linebacker had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and West Virginia among many others.
There were over fifty players from south Florida on the Sun Life Field last night. Some, like Dalvin Cook and Chad Thomas, could have walked home after the game. One of the best games of the year in which many freshmen played. Each year, Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade counties send over a hundred football prospects to colleges around the country. Think of it, three counties send more recruits to Div 1 schools than most states! Why not attend a game with so many personal friends, and be proud of their effort?
this year's yeargin perhaps?

Too bad we didn't take Kirkland before our team became a dumpster fire. We need linebackers in the worst way.
My God. You need some bourbon and a slap in the face of reality.
