Ok, glad you speak for everybody else. Just voicing my opinion thank you for taking the stand.

Didn't you speak for everyone with your post first?

All these people who pegged him as "Gone or " I don't even consider him a commit anymore" Will go on by saying I knew it all along, welcome to the ND fam Tillery lol

To act like this has always been a slam dunk just because what ISD reported this morning is crazy. This has been far far from that.

I am just wondering where all the concern came from? I know it's been a weird recruitment with him visits other schools and usually if a prospect visits other schools they are never 100%. It just seems in my opinion Tillery took those visits for fun. I was never in that camp of I don't consider him a commit anymore. I still believe he shows up here in January, I think if he was going to flip to LSU he would have already. I think he has seen everything he has needed to see. I don't think the Bama vs LSU game will be the nail in the coffin.

This. He may be claiming visits were for fun now but NDs been in a dog fight from the moment he committed, and it's not over.

I consider him a commit until he's flipped but let's not forget the first part of the Intel said the coaches will continue to treat him as if he's still not committed ... I trust the coaches when they offer a kid and I trust them in their recruiting methods therefore I think it's safe to say this is a signing day battle

I am pretty sure he is an EE, so we have to get bye a couple more LSU visits most likely and he has talked about an official to Texas. I just believe he has seen everything he has needed to see at LSU and if he was going to flip it would have already taken place. I think it would be huge for us if he showed up for the Banquet

So naive. Unless of course you're just stirring the pot with your comments in this thread today...

Ya man, I am clueless and just string the pot today. Very ironic comment by you though, very ironic but then again usually you just like to comment on my posts just to comment. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

He's been in constant communication with LSU and one of their recruiters (name escapes me) throughout the entire process. Whether or not you think he ultimately ends up here isn't really the point. It's whether there was/is cause for concern. There was/is cause for concern based on communication and loads of visits.

Let me start by saying I think he stays but I'm not 100% convinced. In regards to the bolded quote...Kiel flipped the day he was supposed to leave for LSU and Greenberry flipped the morning of NSD. I am not comparing them to Tillery just saying that, just because he hasn't flipped yet doesn't mean he won't.

It kind of sucks that the vast majority of this dude's thread is comprised of debate on whether or not he is going to flip or not. We are so trained to believe the worse is going to happen. I just believe that we are back and that he gets it. It's like when you have successfully fought your way through puberty and the hot girl finally wants to climb in the sack with you...it's hard to believe but it is indeed real. He's Irish in my opinion and for all the right reasons.

No, that is a good point. But Greenberry visited Houston once and I think Kiel visited LSU twice. I was more or less trying to say it's rare when it happens. Could he flip? Sure, but I don't think he will or he would have already IMO. He has called ND his "dream school"

I think you're confused about the definition of irony, but that's not really surprising. Bottom line- you find it hard to conceive why the LARGE MAJORITY of this site would raise a red flag for Tillery's "verbal commitment". Maybe the fact that you're in the lonely minority on this one should tell you something. Aren't we always talking about actions vs words? Well go back and look at his actions and then tell us you don't understand the concern.

I'd really hate to lose this kid, him and Nelson anchoring down this line in the near future is very appealing. Tillery is a monster, ultimately I believe he stays Irish.

Per Shea who is one of the most respected mods in the country

"Notre Dame feels like they have a stranglehold on Jerry Tillery's commitment, and for good reason. He's called the Irish his dream school, and despite making visits elsewhere, he hasn't backed off his commitment. LSU has brought Tillery in for multiple visits this year, and he will be back this weekend. That being said, it still looks like the Tigers are fighting an uphill battle as Tillery hasn't budged from his stance on Notre Dame, and he will enroll in college in early-January."

So despite all these visits it doesn't sound like LSU is making up any ground per almost every recruiting site. Just showing that is where my optimism is coming from.

Serious question: When he's visiting LSU, does he just have a regular ticket like a local fan, or does he have a special sideline pass like a recruit?

It's the SEC. He gets full official visit privileges every time he goes. Why do you think he keeps going back? :)

I am pretty sure he visits as a recruit so he gets a sideline pass and most likely the student section. It's not like a official visit so they don't lay out the red carpet for him.

No love for Soso? Say it ain't so. Scarlett and Brossette (in addition to Adams) would be a ridiculous RB haul though.
