Already? Then KA must have been the only reason we weren't pursuing DK with vigor!

Kinda loving what people have had to say about Kizer... honestly thought he could struggle in this setting. Can't wait to see how much he grows once he devotes all of his focus to football.

Kizer is not on the greatest team though he does have Malachi & Schultz but I like that he is on a team where he can be the best QB. I'd be pissed if I was say Brad Kaaya or Jacob Park on the same team as Kyle Allen

I don't know about you, but I leapt for joy when I saw his team. Every recruit that meets DK is sold on him, I am so glad that 'Malachi & Schultz', of all people get to play with him!

Cornwell receiving some criticism from the 247 guys and Dilfer

so my big takeaways from that article: best set of intangibles, good/quick learner.

sounds like staff landed another promising qb to me!

ISD is gonna have a whole interview w/ Kizer & Dilfer and a breakdown later.

Players are starting to arrive for The Opening

Well he's rather tall...

Seriously though... looks like there is a little jump to his throw. Not sure someone 6'5" needs to hop on his toes to make a pass. I'd keep an eye if that gets coached out or is only for certain passes.

That's good, though. Especially since we're bringing in giant OL.

Disagree. Kizer isn't gonna have any problem throwing over anyone at his height. If u look at Peoria's post there's just a little jump in his motion at the top of it. Not really that big a deal but just something I noticed.

Ill admit I'm no expert on QBs, but isn't a high release point what you work towards? A low release is typically bad form.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to have a high release point. That and a jump are two different things (though I don't really see a jump from that clip)

I'm not saying he shouldn't have a high release point

There can be such a thing as too high though. It's just one rep though.

he goes to the tip of his toes, usually in drills coaches will ask that you exaggerate the small mechanics so that they become natural in live play.

getting on your toes is definitely one of those things, especially if the coaches notice you have been throwing flat footed, the coaches would ask you to exaggerate.

Maybe that's it, certainly makes sense.

I remember a YouTube clip of Kelly doing exact same thing before.
