It seems that we had similar negativity around Lautua's recruitment and we came around to liking him. I'm hoping that if we start flirting heavily with Clark that we land Alize. just hoping...cuz i think landing Alize is still a stretch. Still like messing with the Skunkbears.

Oh yeah, the Luatua stuff got a bit ugly around the time of the AA game. Hoping we land Alize and it's a non-issue, but good memory.

Reality is de-commits will only increase in today's CFB world. When we stop assuming teenagers have the wisdom of sages, and good parents to guide them, we will all be less disappointed when kids are kids.

If the staff trusts him, I certainly want him.

While I agree with some things you have said you seem to know a lot about this kids personality and what he is going to do or might do. Man o man you would think this kid is a physco. All he has done is decommit once(like a lot of kids do) and is going to take some officials(like 75% of the recruits do) Give it a rest people that includes me.

Nope, it's way more than that.

I always remind people that our roster is littered with decommits, many of them high character kids, so don't judge a kid merely by that. So I'm definitely not one to kill a kid for decommitting.

But with Clark, it's much more. Not going to get into the details, but he is not a good fit IMHO. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but that's my stance on him.

Doubt it. I think you have this one right!

Yeah, if the need for attention is always there, then that can cause issues. For those type of guys, going from the big fish in a small pond to small fish in a big pond can be an issue.

Its not just your stance. I went back and read through this thread again, and the entire process for this kid makes me agree with you. I can't imagine him working out with ND. He has on several occasions, via his own actions and words, provided evidence that he is a risky take at best.

Clark set two oficials. One for the USC vs ND and one for Texas in December. Still committed to Michigan but keeping his options open. Per 24/7.

I know that TCU offered him about a month back but I was told it was for defense. We don't typically utilize a pass catching TE in our offense so was just curious if people were offering him as an athlete or just a TE.

Sorry went to TCU but had family go to ND so have always been a fan. TCU has always recruited big offensive skill guys and moved them to D-line so was curious if anybody else was recruiting him as a defensive player. I was told he contacted TCU coaches about coming up for an unofficial visit after his Texas visit so was just wondering.

I hope you land Clark. Do us all a favor and keep this kid as far away from the Midwest as possible.
