The only way something happens here, is if the national press keeps this front and center. Reading between the lines of the article, if something is done it won't be for this game.

He wants to have a lawyer at a school disciplinary hearing? He knows he's as shady as he can get.

if i'm ever "allowed to" have an attorney present for any type of hearing, you can be sure my attorney will be there. i've been reading articles that this is a unique hearing process. so apparently this isn't a run of the mill meeting with the dean.

It's not going to have any impact on him playing," Winston's attorney, David Cornwell, told Sports Illustrated. Cornwell added: "What's the sense of urgency for this unique process? When has anyone confronted this before? We need time."

Are you facking kidding me? "Unique Process"? The only thing unique about this situation is that the school attempted to avoid the federally mandated Title IX process to begin with. Every university in America would be going through this process. How in the fock is this unique?

Typical sleezeball FSU bull$hit. The evidence of university wrongdoing is beyond overwhelming. We have officially hit a moment in college football where schools like FSU have crossed into criminal mischief. They should be prosecuted, imo.

If Jameis plays I don't think he'll be phased by what's going on at all. The kid had been playing with a black cloud over his head for a while now. He doesn't give afuck.

I'll go even further to say he'll play better than normal. Fisher will pull the strings and create a unified "us against the world" feeling, like someone said earlier.

There is nothing more Jameis' ignorance likes better than an inflated moment to pretend like he's some incredible leader. In alot of ways his ignorance is bliss, his nonchalant attitude is a gift.

But that's not to say this won't affect other team members or even the staff. But Jameis? He's designed, molded and manipulated to play ball, no matter the circumstances.

Hopefully ND takes this week and tightens screws.. The media has focused completely on FSU and left us alone for the most part. There is no reason we shouldn't come out sharp and hungry.

Winston & Co. "The Untouchables"

Winston & Co. "The Untouchables"

It's no wonder these kids act the way they do and get away with it. Look at the money at play here. When this team is in the dumps, it literally effects everyone in the community. There are way too many people that have their hands in the FSU cookie jar. They need to clean house at the university and both police departments.

COACH
$1.45 million
Jimbo Fisher’s contract lays out up to $1.45 million in bonuses based on wins, championships, awards and graduation rates.

TALLAHASSEE POLICE
$112,000
The Tallahassee Police Department was paid $112,000 mostly for directing traffic at home games, during the 2013-14 season.

LOCAL ECONOMY
$10 million
The Leon County tourism bureau has estimated up to $10 million of additional economic activity for “top end” home games.

MERCHANDISE
$4.5 million
Florida State royalties on merchandise topped $4.5 million in the 2013-14 school year. They moved from 21st in merchandise sales in 2012-13 to eighth.

BOOSTERS
$264 million
Seminole Boosters, a nonprofit group and the main fund-raising arm of F.S.U.’s athletic department, has $264 million in assets.

Why don't we get the ESPN boys on it. They can't have the ACC boys beating up on their SEC boys.

I would have to believe that the Title IX investigation is running everything at this point. I would have to believe there is very little wiggle room anymore.

But what do I know, these guys have had such a sweet deal lately!

This is all going to make for an interesting "30 for 30" some day.

Who will it be that breaks down and spills on the dirty details? Jimbo? Jameis? Darby and Casher? Disgruntled teammate? Water boy? Student manager?

Curious why some of you are voting Yes, he should play? Just for sake of discussion, not to start an argument.

What's going on here is making an absolute mockery of college sports and proving once again that winning and money come before any sort of morality and integrity. Doing things the right way and playing by the rules will always come second to "Just win baby." The matchup this weekend could not be any further left and right, good and bad, right and wrong. I would love nothing more than for this story to explode into a USC/PSU type of scandal where there is literally nothing left of that program.

Can someone explain to me what Title IX has to do with anything? I presume it wasn't legal to rape women and cover it up prior to 1972.

Well, I answered the question as a yes but setting aside the issues of what FSU "should" do.

Basically, I want to see Notre Dame play a top team at full strength because I really want to know where the Irish stand right now as a football team.

If the allegations the NYT is reporting truly are cover ups, as they appear to be, I do not see how the NCAA does not step in. If the NCAA does not step in here, then I cannot see how college football, or any college sport, can still be considered an amateur league. This would be an admission by the NCAA that special privileges are allowed to student-athletes and thus makes paying student-athletes more of a possibility. The NCAA would be shooting themselves in the foot if they are against paying athletes.

I'd rather ride blissful ignorance to 12-0 and then figure out how good we are in Pasadena or New Orleans.

I voted no because it doesn't matter if FSU plays ND or any other team in the country. This kid shouldn't be on the field.

I want ND in the playoff so I don't want to see Winston play.......

However, it looks like FSU has no problem playing Winston and if they forfeit wins in 7 years they are ok with it

Is FSU about to play a ND team at full strength? ND just suspended 5 players for academic issues. 3 of which were starters going into the season.

I want him to play.

There will be excuses when ND wins. "Florida State's flaws were exposed." "The distractions caught up to them." "Jimbo finally lost the team."

The one excuse that would bother me? "Yeah but if Jameis played FSU would've won."

Don't give the playoff committee that kind of ammo. If ND goes 12-0, they will be in regardless, Winston or not. But I'd rather not risk some screwy situation and the committee saying, "Yeah but their biggest opponent was missing their star QB."

I want Jameis to play. I want ND to pound him into a fine, thin layer of dust on the field by games end. I want the fury of 10,000 suns unleashed upon him by BVG. And then I want the hammer to fall on Sunday morning, when FSU realizes protecting the team is useless because ND has made them look like fools already.

I guess I just want him to play and have the worst game of his entire life and cost his team hard. Sadly, like someone said earlier, he is numb to any of this and will probably play his best game, but here's to a hope and a prayer.

Why does any of that matter if we win? Who cares what voters say if they vote us in? Losing the game because of Winston may cost us a playoff spot. But winning because of Winston costs us nothing.

Ethically, morally and selfishly... I want Winston gone. In my opinion, he most likely is a criminal on a high level and possibly even a rapist. In fairness, he deserves to be at least fairly examined. Not because of football, but because anyone with his rap sheet of offenses should be seriously investigated for the public good.
