Honestly not sure if Kizer ever sees the field, especially if we get Henry too.

Haven't we learned anything watching this team over the years?

Wimbush nor Henry have ever even participated in a college practice, but we project them to beat out a kid who was ranked pretty closely to them in his own class. A guy that will have been in the system a couple years once they step on campus?

Under the philosophy of this board, no kid would ever be able to outplay whoever is the "taste of the week". You guys do realize that Kizer actually has tools these two don't, right? I give them all a fair shot.

Welcome aboard Brandon. Cant wait to see what you got.

More sour grapes via the immortal ESPN comment section: "He didn't want to sit for 3 years." -guy who has never heard of Golson, Zaire, or Kizer

Tony Alford is the best recruiter in america

best part is how this was kept under the wraps for so long

Bold statement, he is elite no doubt about it. But don't think he is the best.

Also Wooly totally agree with you on what you are saying about Kizer and Wimbush. But to say they are rated somewhat close to eachother? Henry is the number two player in the Country and according to Farrell Wimbush will get a bump and if he keeps it up could be in talks for a 5* rating. Just my opinion but based off high school tape(which I am not arguing with you) Wimbush and Henry seem to be miles ahead of Kizer. But hopefully they all end up at ND and make each other better everyday,

We could do it like I do in NCAA 14 and just have a new former 5* fifth year senior QB starting every year.

He very well may get a 5th star, and I would be happy if he did. But their ratings as of today are not far from eachother.

Does he have a history of knee problems or past bad injuries?

Not that I've heard of. He was pulled from the NJ state championship game last year with a possible concussion, not even sure it was. But I haven't seen or heard anything like that.

We basically just got Golson for 4 more years after thinking we wouldn't get any QB's this year. Awesome pickup, good job staff!!!

I was thinking Braxton Miller. I'll take either.

Just watched the film; yeah, Braxton Miller comes to mind, but I think he may have better touch and he knows he's not a fullback (he can find the sidelines). He's more physical than Golson or Barnett, from the tape, at least. Reminds a little, too, of.....Cam (not McDaniel). Maybe I'm nuts and he is my Rorschach blot.

Yup. Get them on the boat and sort out that stuff later. Nobody can say what will happen in the future, but the more options you have and higher quality they are the better chance you have of hitting on something good.

Has very similar builds to Russell Wilson and for some reason that's who he reminds me off.

Prescott who is 6'4 about 240? Running is a major strength of his and while he can throw the ball I don't see the arm strength like Wimbush.

Wimbush is very much more pro style and Dak seems like a guy who wants to run first.

just my opinion of course but I don't see Prescott anywhere

I was higher on Kizer than most because I liked the upside that Lax touched on. However, from a rating perspective he finished 235th overall in the 247 composite with a 90 rating. Wimbush is currently 70th overall and a 96 rating. I don't think those are negligible. Also, Wimbush is probably going higher as he is straight balling out this year against good competition. Lastly, I don't want to overlook Kizer but if I had to bet money on who our starting QB is after Zaire I'd say it's Wimbush. The only significant trait Kizer has over Wimbush is size. Which, much like with Golson, lack of size doesn't translate into a weak arm actually quite the opposite.

We are set for the next 5 years. If someone does leave, we can assume he was the weakest link.

I don't get the Dak Prescott comparison at all, I'm with you as I see him as a taller Russell Wilson type.

Without a doubt Wimbush is an athletic Pro Style QB rather than a Dual Threat QB and that is a good thing people.

Some ND fan think that Kelly and Co. want DT-QB's for there system, they don't as those DT-QB's are run first QB's that 90% just aren't good passers.

What they want is a athletic QB that can pass the ball first and foremost. Someone who can stay and move in the pocket and check down rather than just always running when option 1 and 2 aren't there.

But that said they want a QB that's athletic than can run when it's there for the taking and well as giving more looks to roll out or to go with the read option but the point is he wants the QB to be a pass first QB rather than a run first QB.

Can't even read the idiots regarding his flip from psu on 247...psu is better academically, he just doesn't want to sit behind Hackenburg and will play next year,we play a bunch of cup cakes, the qb's on bench are better than him anyways...i give up

Ha ha, insert butt-hurt is strong GIF.

I'd love to play Penn State this year or next, I don't think they realize what Kelly has done with our program.

Taj Boyd with more zip on the ball.
