Against FSU had his first career multiple-TD day.

His 99 receiving yards were a career-high

CRob grew up last night. He made huge strides in becoming a complete ball player. We all knew he can make catches, now he can get the tough yards after the catch. To me he is the epitome of the entire team, even in a heartbreaking, controversial loss this team grew up last night. Moral victories suck, but I've got to think this team gets even closer and tougher.

I agree with your description of his play and will add one, his presence of mind to not only dive for the first down but to dive for the sideline using one hand to keep his knee from touching while he extended the other hand with the ball out of bounds to kill the clock. That was a savy play.

Trying to think of a player with better hands in recent ND history and I'm having some trouble. Maybe Tate? Shark?

Fuller + Robinson should be the best WR duo in the nation the next two years. PLus all the young loaded guys to surround around them

Golden maybe had the strongest hands I have ever seen, with Eifert being close behind.
Now this is not recent, but some of the best hands I ever saw was Pete Houlihan.
He was a receiver at ND then became a dependable TE with the Chargers. He caught everything that was thrown his way. Anyone remember him? Or am I dating myself?

Yes you are dating yourself.

He was MacAfee's replacement I think, if not there was just a year between them.

I played the role of Pete Holohan on many a cold afternoon down at the park when it was too cold to hoop.

Now, I've dated myself.

*** As far as best hands, Eifert, Tate, Floyd, Samardzija... I'll take whoever's left. If I get first pick, I'll take Shark

Really loving Corey's play right now. He has gamer in his blood. You simply can't teach it. The sky is the limit.

Anyone think he has a tough time getting up field after he catches the ball? Just seemed like he had a tough time breaking away from FSU DBs. Which made me wonder if he were able to somehow add 40 pounds he may be able to be a TE in the NFL.

Coreys game isn't, and never will be, about speed.

He could very well develop into a lean te. But, I don't see him ever becoming an inline te.

Cool article, if for no other reason than someone that has been close to the scene echoes all the vibes we have sensed; the Robinsons are legit, which is rare in this world indeed!

Great article. Corey just seems like an amazing kid on and off the field. He's my favorite player on the team, look forward to him to continue to become more and more of a weapon as his career continues.
