Yeah ok. I've heard similar statements made by tons of SEC and ACC fans, and they're not often talking about the player's BMIs.

Are you trying to assert that some white people think that black players only want to play in the sunshine, while white players don't care?

That's a BIIIIIIGGGGG stretch, I think.

It's a stretch that black players only want to play in the sunshine, or it's a stretch that some people think so?

The first one is a stretch, I agree. The second one is indisputably true.

It's a BIIIIIIIIGGGG stretch to call that racist.

Sounds like it's 50/50 considering there's one other way to interprete it. Maybe I'm totally crazy, but given the common nature of this thinking in my experience, plus the fact that Corso has made similar statements before ("the B1G needs to recruit more from Florida if they want speed"), makes me think I was accurate in my assumption. We can disagree though. Regardless I don't really care anymore, it was a statement made mostly in jest.

Aaaaand I watch for five minutes and Lee already says something mildly racist. "The problem with B1G recruiting is that skill players only want to play in the sunshine..."

Really Lee? I thought everyone liked warm weather. What's different about skill players that you would say that?

I didn't see the show. Reading what's above did Corso bring racism into the discussion or did the listener/poster?

Skill players rely on dexterity in their hands. Cold weather impacts that dexterity regardless of race. (It also impacts the exposed skins on the coeds.)

From a different perspective, Lou Holtz evolved from a triple option offense to a transitional "Blarney" passing offense because he had difficulty recruiting skill players. The style of play was more a factor than weather to those with NFL talent regardless of race.

Race wasn't part of the conversation. Hammer inferred that "southern" was a code word for "black."

I did. Like I said it was mostly in jest because I really don't care if a guy thinks black players are usually faster than white players. But that's how I read his statement in the moment and I just thought it was funny that it took less than five minutes to have Corso say something that could be considered inappropriate.

So inferring that there is more speed in Florida than other states is now racist, too? Have you ever heard anything about College Football that isn't racist?

Not enough to be offended or anything, but I think there is a race-based implication when some people say it. I'm done with the conversation man. We don't agree and that's cool.

I never liked Anchorman, but thought Step Brothers is hilarious. Oh well.

"it's quite pungent."

Will Farrell movies are often hit or miss, and sometimes it takes a few views before it get's funny. I didn't care for Anchorman nor Talledega Nights the first time I saw them, but they kind of grow on you after awhile.

Well, that is a pretty misleading stat.
