I don't think Loy is mad at all about NDs successful weekend. I bet he's actually pretty jacked about it. Great for his business. I watched his interview.

NDseans going to be unbearable after he reads these updates lol.

Players showing ND lots of love this weekend; Wiltfong reporting, Loy tearing his hair out consumed with loathing!

Hard to tell how much hair there is actually left to tear since his head is the same color as his hair...

I didn't know you had a 247 subscription. Have you always had one?

Loy's videos are posted online for everybody to watch. So I was reading his body language, which told me in my opinion he was less that blissful. And that he begrudgingly admitted that the atmosphere was great, "Even if you are not an ND fan, this atmosphere has to give you goose bumps!"

After watching, I disagree. I feel as though he was making the point that the atmosphere was so good, that a recruit could come in actively rooting against Notre Dame and come away with goosebumps.

I had one for the month of July, but there's a 5 minute video that's free a page or two back in the Michigan thread. I posted it.

I don't see anything that says to me he's disappointed in how successful ND's recruiting weekend is. Maybe he wishes Henry was going to FSU because he likes FSU, but I think it's crazy that outside of FSU, he doesn't want ND to have huge success in recruiting.

It's probably just me then.

I got bad vibes. Only thing I've had bad vibes about in the last couple of days.

So they have the recruits walk in front of the team or do they walk wherever they want in the group? If they have them in front on purpose, that's a pretty good ploy to use. An unobstructed view of the fans and the long line.

It's crazy how many people recognized Henry and called out his name. The kid's a junior in high school, and yet he's already famous enough to be recognized by hundreds of strangers in public.

This is the first time I've seen the recruits walk in front, and by a good 50 yards IM (drunk) O.

I thought it was better when the recruits followed the team, cause 95% of fans don't recognize or cheer for the recruits, so it's really quiet when they walk by, as opposed to when the players/coaches walk through first and all of the noise is being made.

Has anyone actually looked at the correlation between which game a recruit visits for and whether they commit? I can think of examples both ways, but anecdotal evidence sucks donkeydick. I know Manti committed after visiting for the 'Cuse game in 08 (the horror!) but to what degree does a loss affect recruits in general?

I dont think that winning/losing matters. There is a greater % of kids that dont commit immediately after a game vs ones that do.

Its a matter of being competitive throughout the season. The 2011 USC game was ridic with recruits and ND self destructed that game and then won 4 vs Navy, Wake, Maryland and BC but then lost their last two to Stanford and FLorida St.

SO those recruits saw ND struggles against USC and drop two ugly game against two of premier teams. Shaq Thompson isnt paying attention to ND aginst Navy, Wake, Maryland or BC. He sees ND struggle vs Stanford and FSU.

Its just a matter of not falling apart and being competitive in my opinion.

Fwiw Loy saying he asked Henry and no, not scheduled to be at FSU currently.

Also thinks he decides by end of the month.

If he doesn't visit FSU, that's a good sign and I think he's ours. They're unofficials FWIW, but he said back when he said he'd be visiting for UM game that he'd also be visiting FSU for ND game.
