why is that? Is it because he's saying "I'll only play QB! So don't even try to recruit me unless!" ? Is it that type of deal? Or does he have off-field baggage?
Both I think

I was not impressed with him today on ESPN
Let's see, Torrance led a quick strike offense, and was 7 for 11, 298 yds, 5 touchdowns. Three of those touchdowns were to Dredrick Snelson(Miami verbal). Gibson accounted for six of their scores. You'll be able to make another assessment of Gibson's abilities, Heritage plays Aquinas this Friday. Oppressive conditions to play football - ESPN should reconsider August midday starts in south Florida! Miami Central game at Hoover, AL should never have been scheduled at midday.
His passing skills were not that impressive to me. He has a ways to go to be an effective passer in college. Seems to have the ability, just needs some coaching. Still, he is a nice player overall.

Urban Meyer and Florida won two national championships with unimpressive passing college quarterbacks(Leak and Tebow). How effective of a passer do you have to be in college? Michigan, and a less than impressive passer Dennard Robinson, beat Notre Dame twice.

Sorry, but Urban's team there had a supporting cast that made Tebow & Leak. First, for Leak, the defense won that national championship, not Leak and the offense. You know how many times a team scored more than 20 against Florida that year? Twice. The first was against Auburn, but their defense accounted for 9 points in that game. The other was Arkansas and Petrino. You know how many times UF scored more than 30 points that year against BCS conference teams? Twice. Arkansas and Ohio State. If anything, QB almost derailed the season (Auburn, South Carolina).
For Tebow's year, you had Percy, Cooper, Hernandez, Rainey, Demps, a great OL led by the Pouncey twins. Not to mention the defense was loaded too. Can't forget about Joe Haden, Carlos Dunlap, Spikes, Ahmad Black and Jermaine Cunningham. That team was absolutely loaded with impact players and any marginal QB could look good.

I still don't get why, if you want to make a career out of football, HS athletes choose to be QB's if they don't have a very good arm. For players like Denard Robinson, Tim Tebow, and Logan Thomas, playing QB in college probably wasn't the best career move (unless the Broncos decide to waste a 1st round pick on you).

Snapchatted a picture of some girl's booty.
She allowed it.
He refused to make it official with her.
She complained to the admin about the picture, got him in hot water.
^That's the story I got from an OSU friend.

MGCCC originally announced the addition of Gibson back in December, but the standout athlete later announced his intention to transfer to Cincinnati.
A spokesman told the Sun Herald Gibson is "no longer on the team," though he remains enrolled in classes.
