Okay, I should probably go ahead and put out a Code Green on the Kool-Aid-o-meter. That being said, this is what I really think might be the case.

As somebody said, I think he received a lot of pressure to go to UF, and had them as the hot commodity. That being said, I do also think that ND is where he wants to go. That might be the reason he pushed it back to September, so he can commit to ND in person at the scUM game.

In addition, for those argument whether or not winning helps on OV's, I'd say not by much, but it does factor in a small bit. If anything, the act of winning boost the spirits of everybody around. I think the overall energy will be much more positive if ND wins, whether than if they lose. So, not a big factor, but might still be worth mentioning.

For a south Florida recruit, particularly with Al Golden at the helm, Miami will always have an opportunity to be an option. South Florida is high school football heaven. Miami coaches can evaluate prospects at afternoon practices, and return home for dinner!

Agreed. This is probably the MUST GET recruit on ND's radar. As of now, there are no realistic back-up options. It's Coney or nothing, and nothing is NOT an option.

Coney has a teammate that Notre Dame offered last spring. A junior, Devin Studstill plays both safety and corner for Palm Beach Gardens. His father, Darren Studstill, played quarterback for West Virginia(another Blue and Gold) in the 90's.

“Depending on the Notre Dame visit, I’ll decide whether I want to commit in September. Most likely it will be September. I don’t think I’ll push it back any farther, but I’m not sure yet.”
