Thanks for posting Lucky

Basically, if he only cares about winning, he will go to Alabama.

He already knows ND is on an upward trend. We will always be competitive with Kelly. Therefore, it doesn't matter what we do this year. We have already done it with some level of sustained winning. Make sense?

It definitely matters the product that is put out on the field this year and in every year. Is it priority #1, no but it is a very big priority. The coach of our football team even said this, many times.

Seems like a bright kid who works hard in the classroom and on the field, and understands the importance of getting a good education. Any school would be lucky to have him. Hopefully he'll attend the school that has a recent Campbell Trophy winner, Capital One award winner, a Rhodes Scholarship finalist, and leads all of CFB in first-team Academic All Americans over the last seven years. ;-)

That's what sucks about Alabama. They'd probably just sign someone better. They lost a 5-star QB commit this year, and what do they do? Just upgrade to Barnett, lol.

Barnett was not an upgrade, especially for the offense they run.

Agreed. USC is rumored to be recruiting over the top of him. That's what they think of him.

While I completely agree that Town is way overrated, USC is not recruiting another quarterback for him. They have basically stopped recruiting Sills, but Sark is still insistent on having two QB's, with Town being one of them. That is what I am hearing anyway.

Nope. Appears status quo. 100% committed to Bama but wants to take OVs to make sure, which includes an OV to Notre Dame.

He will take his visits but stated he is 100 percent committed to Bama but wants to make sure. ND is schedule to be one of his visits however he isn't sure when on any of his visits at this time other than probably the Iron Bowl. Interesting that Jawan Pass is his teammate and Pass was on the visit with him but he doesn't know where Pass stands with Bama so that could be a plus.

Ya'll leave Mekhi alone.

Early on it was rumored that he was a soft commit and a candidate for a possible flip. As time as passed, he seems to have strengthened his commitment. That makes me nervous. How many times to we see this type of recruitment play out just to see them flip late in the cycle? I won't be sold on him till the NLOI comes in.

Barnett for Brown, it's only fair.

Still a long-shot for us. I wouldn't sweat it at this point.

Probably correct. I do think your home and home with Ga in the upcoming few years will be a boost for the Irish. Those games, and the summer camp participation, should start getting ND in a few more doors. One things for sure.... Ga has a lot of talent.... and a lot of talent that doesn't mind leaving the state to play ball.

That series will probably open more doors for us, but I'm skeptical it'll result in a significant payoff. How is ND's low-pressure, metric-based recruiting pitch going to stack up against cash-laden bagmen and sundress-wearing "hostesses"?

Alabama Commit Sets Up Notre Dame Official
5 minutes ago
Defensive end Mekhi Brown (Columbus, Ga./Carver) will take his first official visit to Notre Dame on the weekend of October 4.

The four-star prospect is ranked as the nation's No. 4 weakside defensive end and the No. 8 recruit in the state of Georgia in the 2015 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

Idk how I feel about going first, but a huge win for the staff just to get this kid to OV. It helps that the Stanford game should have a crowd that almost matches the Michigan crowd.

I'll be at the Stanford game as well, but IDK if we can match the Michigan atmosphere. But damn it, we will try.

It's moving everywhere.

Nah, crowd will be very mediocre relative to Michigan.*

*Just about every crowd is going to be mediocre relative to that game.

He always said he would take officials but the fact he ACTUALLY went through with setting it up is HUGE....the fact that he said ND could be the only one to flip him....leaves me feeling 25%
