This is one of those moments where my coworkers look at me with strange looks as I laugh at the computer.

I'd guess it's a sickness rather than an injury since we haven't heard anything about it.

Word from II is that it may have been a procedure to correct a sports hernia. Probably won't know more until BK meets with the media next week.

4 catches for 98 yds and a TD already in the first quarter.

It's been great recognition by Miller. Purdue is taking away the running game and outside receivers, thus leaving the TEs WIDE OPEN. He is taking advantage.

Plus, Purdue's offense has been an abomination.

I hope Mike ends up and filling out like his brother Jeff. He's a good looking TE. No homo

Mike seems like a hardworker so I think he'll end up getting pretty jacked up. However he's a little on the short side 6'3-6'4 and probably 2-3' shorter than his brother.

He always projected as a "move" TE, though, right? It isn't like he has to put on 80 pounds.

Well, he is now 1 of only 3 TEs on the entire roster. Kind of hard to go to 2 TE sets when you only have one TE that has seen experience, and the other 2 are redshirt freshman and one is coming off a major injury and undersized.

From all accounts Heuerman some good practices in Bowl prep. He can def be used split out wide with his blocking and receiving ability.

He's really only marginally bigger than Michael Floyd was when he went to the combine.

Right, that is what I'm saying. To play that "move" TE position, he can play it at close to his current size. If he was an in-line TE he'd have a lot of bulking up to do. IM8's point (and it is a good one) is that with only three TEs likely to play, we won't see nearly as many 2 TE sets. Maybe Luatua comes on early. I know he wants to play in-line.

you guys reckon Koyack can handle the in-line blocking?

Well, he is not Niklas, but he has improved much in that area of play. However, I don't think he'll be called on to fill such a prominent blocking role. Koyack has always been considered more of a natural pass catcher than Niklas, so I can ultimately see us using Koyack similar to Kyle Rudolph, not flanked out wide like Eifert, but in the slot and in-line quite a lot.
