Those Navy helmets above are the best I've ever seen.
Honestly, how do we not dominate with Jesus on our side?

Those Navy helmets are my favorite helmets of all time, never to be surpassed. That's how you do something "new" while keeping it "traditional."

After watching this and seeing them compare the gold on the cleats to the helmet, I kinda wish UA would've done a color match of the helmet gold for the cleat, but maybe ND wanted to keep it proprietary. Would've looked even better IMO but I like them nonetheless.
Looked pretty damn close to me.

With Adidas, there were different tones of blue and gold in the cleats, jersey, gloves. Looked tacky.

+1. All the colors match. Thank god.
So I'm assuming that is 270 hours til the reveal? 11 days?

Let's hope, I'm ready for some pre-season excitement!

The Dallas Knights uniforms from Any Given Sunday. Hideous. What color is that, puke?
But honestly I think an ND uniform featuring a cross could be a great look if they kept it simple. Plain green jersey with a large gold cross on the front, gold pants, gold helmet, unadorned knee-high green socks... or all the same with navy jersey & socks.
As we've seen for the last few years, though, the temptation to slap various logos, emblems, and stripes everywhere is too much for anyone in charge of designing the Shamrock Series uniforms. Not too say they look bad, just too busy for my taste.
Yeah, let's not have any religious influence visible in our uniforms. Oh wait...I'm a Christian like a lot of people on here I presume, but I strongly believe a cross on the jerseys is a really bad idea and should/will never happen.
The colors blue and gold [or gold and blue] are the colors of the Virgin to whom Notre Dame (her very name) is dedicated. There are various heraldic emblems symbolic of the Virgin Mother of God in addition to the colors blue and gold (or as heraldry has it, azure and gules).
...
The University’s Gold and Blue colors were not only associated with Mary, the Queen of Heaven, Father Sorin’s “guiding star,” they were also the royal colors of King Edward, St. Edward the Confessor, the patron saint of Father Edward Sorin -- founder of Notre Dame and St. Edward’s University. Father McAvoy said it so well: “To have a history is to have a name and the richer the history the more glorious the name.”

The Spirit of Notre Dame
Having a subtle tribute to the Universities roots that no one in the general public, let alone most ND fans know about (I didn't know of the meanings behind the color) is one thing.
Having the most recognizeable religious symbol in the world put on the jersey is totally different.
In this world of PC, we sure don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
