Yeah, with Charlie Strong's contacts from being at UF, Louisville pulled its fair share of kids from FL.

At the conclusion of a monster junior year(Gardens losing to South Dade in state 8A semifinals), Coney had but three scholarship offers - Florida Atlantic, South Alabama, and Appalachian State. Six weeks into the new year, and there is an avalanche of offers - Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, and come June, Notre Dame. It's exciting to be wanted, but the recruiting process can be overwhelming. Did Tevon recently include Louisville into the equation? Unlike Byron Cowart, whose enjoying the recruiting game, I think Tevon Coney wants out, and may soon make a decision. It may also presage a run of linebackers making commitments in this class. Take a seat or be left standing.

Do you have a source for this quote? Doesn't seem to be one of your own. Although it may not be something from behind a pay wall, it's always a good idea to credit a quote to original source.

Seems like it's just an original statement.

Going from three offers to a stuffed mailbox, would have come from an article either in the Palm Beach Post or the Sun Sentinel(my nephew works for the Sun). The Cowart enjoying, Coney uncomfortable, and linebacker run is just my opinion, and I was just responding to an earlier post about decision time.

Obviously we'd like for the prospects we want to never take other visits so they won't give into temptation ;). However, I view this as a good thing. He's expressed an interest in committing to ND. We told him that if he is to commit, he should either take visits first or never. He's deciding to take visits first and seems to be doing so in quick fashion. He may find something on those visits that makes him take a step back but its better now than in December, January, etc.

For Friday Night Lights.

He did make those recent Auburn and Tennessee visits but haven't seen any info on them.

Scout: Enjoyed Auburn quite a bit, stayed the night. However, he left with ND and UF still on top. He did say Auburn was moving up though.

Not from that piece but he did say, after his Auburn visit, that he'll be narrowing list down in August to a top 3 or 4 and taking OV's from there. So, this may not end as soon as we'd like or previously thought. ND/UF in top group with Miami/Auburn next group as of now.

The Scout info also sounds like OVs will take place.

If he can get out of summer uncommitted I would like our chances on OV's.

Give it another week and the excitement of the Auburn visit will dissipate.

How come?

Most kids have a certain level of excitement after a visit, but like that new car it starts to level off. Besides, I didn't see any reports that made me think it was the best thing since sliced bread.

You are way out front of IrishSteelhead for my 2014 IE funniest poster vote. Step your game up, steelhead.

Too bad nobody saw my Gallon Challenge post in the Gameday Sign thread. I'm pretty proud of that one. Really quality work considering I'm sitting for the Bar exam in 6 days.

Amazing how your mind can come up with witty and fun facts faster than it can translate a black letter definition for that "thing a merchant can do with a memorandum but only in a certain time frame" doctrine

At Friday Night Lights with his mother, and commented to an interviewer that - Florida is my leader over Notre Dame right now. But I also like Auburn and Tennessee. On with the motley! Scatback Ray Ray McCloud will announce his verbal on Monday(July 28) at 6:30 PM.

For a sec, I thought Coney was committing tomorrow, which scared me since he just finished his visit with UF. I think ND still leads by a good bit, but that may change once more details are released pertaining to the visit. Needless to say, it's gonna take their best and then some to top the impact the ND visit had on him.
