Communications offers the same poor employment prospects as most liberal arts degrees (probably among the worst, in fact), without any of the benefits that liberal arts majors usually receive-- like learning how to think.
I'm just laughing at how dad mentioned distance when talking about ND things Blake didn't really consider. I forgot that Alabama is going to move to the west coast next year.
Lol. Yeah I am no expert but my limited experience attending a good liberal arts school was that Communication majors were major fuck-ups. Seriously, even philosophy and geology guys gave them shit.
At pOSU it was kind of assumed that if you couldn't handle Accounting, you went to Business, if you couldn't handle Business you went to Marketing, if you couldn't handle Marketing you went to Communications, and if you couldn't handle that you went home. So basically everyone here is on the same page: it's at the bottom of the totem poll.
I will say though that communications isn't that bad if you're planning on going to grad school for something useful. Plenty of them do that.
I always thought Geology guys could make a killing working for oil companies?
From my experiences, marketing is right there with communications as far as difficulty goes. Majoring in marketing meant you party every night lol. I didn't major in either, but had many friends who did and their courses seemed easy.

Don't fuck around with Geology. It's the silent killer. Lulls you to sleep with it's boringness as an 8:30 AM class and then is all BAM! I'M A REAL COURSE WITH HARD TESTS!
Can't even imagine what it's like to major in that. I only had to take one geology course and one geotechnical engineering course... if you're looking for a holistic substitute for Ambien those are it. You get a masters in something geology related and you can make a fortune in the energy sector.

Yeah I rag on geology guys but it is a legit science. Most of the guys I know and work with (geotech and soils guys) are solid and respectable but during college the geology guys were the first at the kegs and the last to leave and were all surly and outdoorsy. Good peeps. The philosophy guys were a bunch of stoners. Still good peeps. The Communications people were like the Delta Tau Chi from Animal House
It looks like Rosen is tearing it up in Oregon. So would you guys still
Take Blake over Rosen??? Rosen is the obvious choice.
Yes. Blake has been tearing it up as well and fits a spread offense better.
