I alluded to this before. I think this is from a pro-OSU source that sees Justin's dad having a good time in Columbus, glad-handing it with the Buckeye staff. OSU takes it as a good sign and that he is pro-OSU, where I think they aren't even it for him. He is all ND.

As far as his mom, I cannot forget the interview from this past spring for Mike Frank's Power Hour. When Mike called, Justin and his mom were driving, as they were running a bit behind schedule. Mike asked if it was a bad time, there was some talking in the back ground, Justin ducked off for a second and came back. The gist of it was that Justin and his mom were in transit, and she made him pull off the road to talk.

So here is my analysis. His mom is no helicopter mom. He was driving. Which I would do with my kids with me, so as they gain experience. But, she insisted he do the safe and less expedient thing. Here we see the more difficult decision wins out over the easy one. And, they were both gracious and humble enough to put ISD's needs over their own. This is my read on the Hilliards. Actions speak louder than words.

It's situations like this when I wish I could have a ten minute conversation with Justin or Jashon. As an alumni of both ND and OSU I feel like I can give them some perspective they might not get elsewhere.

Interesting, I thought we had a chance until today with the Cornell news after hearing that I thought it was over. I have always thought he is very interested in Notre Dame and that we have a chance I. would say ND has a legit 30-35 percent chance of landing him. We went all in on him and I think he appreciates that.

For what little it's worth, Loy's CBs for Cornell and Hilliard (both to ND and entered back in March) haven't been changed.

There isn't really any point for Loy to change his CB's now even if he thinks it is more probable that both go to OSU. On the off chance either picks ND Loy will look like a genius by staying with his predictions

Hey, I said it wasn't worth much.

Also worth noting (maybe) is that he hasn't seen fit to throw one down on Baker (whose CBs are 100% Ohio State right now). So he isn't rushing to ND's side on these announcements either.
