Celtics are denying that Rondo will be moved. Rondo+Smart is an interesting back court for sure. Couple of guys with no range haha

That was awesome what the NBA did for Isaiah Austin.

I'm not as optimistic about that McDermott pick. He's obviously an offensive weapon but I think he may struggle against long, athletic defenders, and the NBA is loaded with them. His defense could be a bigger liability, especially if they pick up Melo. Thibodeau can cover up one bad defender but it'll be tough to cover two. And if Boozer is kept on the roster...holy hell. Thibs may lose his mind.

Boozer is guaranteed gone, right?

McDermott might be the most ready to play guy in the draft, and he brings something Chicago doesn't have. He'll immediately be able to give you 10+ points a night off the bench which could be the difference between get throttled by the Wizards and being an eastern conference contender.

No, they have to amnesty him. That's the rumor. Like one of the commentators said, he'll believe Reinsdorf wastes $60 million when he sees it. Who knows?

I see the need without Melo and Rose but the Bulls are clearly moving forward under the assumption Rose is back and they have a good shot at signing Melo (have to assume that's the plan since they traded away the pick to clear cap space). I guess the better way to look at it is, what else could they have done to clear cap space and pick up a contributor? Hard to argue with the pick from that angle.

just dont see him going anywhere. even if dwade isnt what he once was he doesnt have to be some stud. Lebron is always going to compete for championships. that simple. (i am by no means a lebron fan, its just the truth)

Correct, not leaving Miami.

Randal=Andrew Bynum

I strongly disagree

How so? Injuries or attitude?

I only watched the NCAA tourney.

his foot injury is the same foot injury that Jordan had in his 2nd year that caused him to miss most of that year; Randall is a 'back the basket type player' with decent post moves, and a good frame and, I think, room for some physical growth. The Lakers made a good pick...to drop the Bynum reference on him is a bit harsh.

Bynum had been paid $50million before he was 21, and for the first 2 years of that 4 year deal, he barely played. Bynum had a bad attitude from the start(complaining about working with kareem; other stuff too), given he made 50mill by 21 it only exacerbated his bad attitude and work ethic. Once a big man gets 1 lower body injury, the clock starts ticking, his nba career is doomed. Bynum had 3 knee blowouts.

Being a big man, there is legit concern for Randalls lower body injury(hence his drop in the draft), but it was not as severe as what happened to Brittle Bynum, and as I mentioned earlier, its the same injury that Jordan had. (and obviously he recovered from it; I know MJ was 6'6", Randall is 6'9").

now if Julius Randall shows up at Lakers camp with Ike Turner hair-do, I will retract my statements concerning Randall.

I haven't seen much talk about it, but I think the spurs getting Kyle Anderson from UCLA was a hell of a pick up for SA. He is walking into a situation where 'whatever he can contribute will be good' I think he will surprise a lot of ppl and will thrive in SA's system.

I've actually seen a lot of people praise the Anderson pickup by the Spurs. You're right though, that's the perfect situation for him.

ESPN is showing Wade and Bosh are opting out now. Id say thats a pretty good sign Lebron stays in Miami

And another off-season filled with stars colluding to water down the NBA even more. SMH.

My fellow Bulls fans, you think we get Melo?

I think we do... unfortunately. I lived in Denver the entire time he was there and watched him in person dozens of times. He is soft.. soft... soft... Not a Thibodeau brand of player.

If we get him though... I hope he proves me wrong.

Im already at the point where I follow the NBA, but don't really watch it until the playoffs. Melo in Chicago would most likely sever all ties for me.

Like to here some of your opinions on the Sixers draft. I think the Saric trade was absolutely Genius by Hinkie our GM.

Also I was at the draft Thursday night. Great experience. If you're interested in the NBA and college basketball I really recommend it.
