It would be nice for a change. Someone that has to be double teamed almost every play!

I can't wait to see this kid play in a ND uniform. Get him on campus in a couple weeks and start getting him ready for next year. I think he is an impact player from day 1.

when Tyler is in the 1 tech (A gap inside shoulder of the guard) he will command a double team. I do not see many guards or centers that will be able to block him one on one. What a very fast 1st step. Very explosive. Cannot wait to see him this fall

What happened to this kid? Has he been hurt or just buried on the depth chart?

Anyone have any idea what Stockton's status with the team is? He participated in Camp Kelly this morning. I don't think anything definitive has been released regarding 5th year guys yet, but with him not being with the team in Miami I kind of figured the writing was on the wall.

We're full at 85 right now. If Nichols takes a medical, a spot will open up, but I presume that'll go to Tausch, since he has a much better chance of actually contributing next year.

So assuming Tausch is a higher priority, one more scholarship will have to open up through unexpected (at least to us) attrition for Stockton to get a 5Y.

My guess is he is just trying to stay in shape while he figures out where he will transfer for his 5th year.

I think there were rumors of a potential transfer maybe? If not, I think that's a tough decision to take him over Tausch. Unless we have some talented walk on kickers, it's dangerous to only have one capable guy in Brindza. Kickers seem to get hurt fairly often.

Would love to have him helping as a mentor/leadership role next year for the incoming freshman though.

Well, we do have Chereson coming in, so we'll have at least 2 kickers. Although I tend to agree that we'd want to take Tausch back over Stockton b/c he has a greater chance of making on on-field contribution, we are actually probably ok at kicker, and Stockton appears to be a really valuable practice player at a position of sub-optimal depth. I guess I could see how the staff might want to bring back Stockton as opposed to Tausch, if they have a free schollie ... not saying that's what I'd do though.

Possible as well that Stockton could be a walk on this year. His family is well off and he might have had plans of grad school anyways.
