If he commits to Osu I think that ND has a better chance of flipping him than if he committed to ND and Osu tried the same.

I still think this can go either way 50/50 right now.. Gut is saying he is going to surprise and pick ND because we trump OHio St. in everything except the social scene and we at least have one parent on our side. He seems like a kid who would want a great academic school and I think the business school helps us out a lot. Some insiders are saying Iowa some OSU who knows lol.

Someone tell him he's allowed to go party with them in the off-season.

'15 OH LB Justin Hilliard (Offer)

I think all of the crystal ball picks started leaning towards Osu when Wiltfong reported from his "sources" that Osu was leading a few weeks ago. What I find interesting is that Wiltfong reported right after last week's ND/ Osu visit that he thinks it could go either way, but his source still thinks Osu. Is it really possible that Hilliard leaked any new info to this "source" that soon after a visit in time for Wiltfong to report that? My thoughts are that any recent crystal ball activity is simply just guessing.

I also remember Wiltfong having "sources" that Cornell was an ND lock for months. I wonder what happened to that one...

Actually, what he said was that he had one source that maintained that ND would be where Cornell eventually ended up, while the other sources indicated otherwise.

New CB to ND from Brian Stumpf if that means anything

Stumpf is actually relatively legit. Pretty sure he runs a bunch of combine stuff, not a 247 dude.

God I hope we win out here. And when we do, I hope NDSean rubs all our faces in it.

Yep could be nothing but he is one that could actually have heard something. He works for Student Sports who works with Nike in organizing The Opening...meaning he talks to all these guys and could have heard something.

Stumpf is legit and I like the fact that there is a very good possibility that he is getting a lot of his info from sources different than the ones ND and OSU reporters are using.

Or he could just be guessing and trying to get points lol.

What though the odds be great, or small, Justin Hilliard comes to Notre Dame after all.
I'd give 2:1 in our favor. I like to think the best of these recruits and - while I see the appeal of OSU - I'm going to bet Hilliard is a stand-up kid who'll make the 40-year decision.

That's where I'm hanging my hat.

I think we should use Sean as our rep on 11 warriors.

I would highly doubt that info that his mom is ND and dad is OSU is correct.

I alluded to this before. I think this is from a pro-OSU source that sees Justin's dad having a good time in Columbus, glad-handing it with the Buckeye staff. OSU takes it as a good sign and that he is pro-OSU, where I think they aren't even it for him. He is all ND.

As far as his mom, I cannot forget the interview from this past spring for Mike Frank's Power Hour. When Mike called, Justin and his mom were driving, as they were running a bit behind schedule. Mike asked if it was a bad time, there was some talking in the back ground, Justin ducked off for a second and came back. The gist of it was that Justin and his mom were in transit, and she made him pull off the road to talk.

So here is my analysis. His mom is no helicopter mom. He was driving. Which I would do with my kids with me, so as they gain experience. But, she insisted he do the safe and less expedient thing. Here we see the more difficult decision wins out over the easy one. And, they were both gracious and humble enough to put ISD's needs over their own. This is my read on the Hilliards. Actions speak louder than words.

They do if the want to continue to get some.

What "some" might you be referring to? I will say that from my personal experience, that is spot on! I have conceited many an argument once that subtle threat wives make has been tossed into the fight. Haha!

Wife: how am I supposed to know the tire was all the way flat? I can't get out and look at it while I'm driving down the road! I couldn't stop because the store was opening in 10 minutes & if I had been late, those shoes would have been GONE!

Me: THAT DAM THUMP WASNT YOUR CAR TAPPING TO THE MUSIC! That should have been a hint!! Now, we not only have to buy a new tire because you shredded that one & road Hazzard won't cover stupidity, but we have to buy a new rim!!! We both know you weren't going to check it out because you wanted to get to that damned sale for those damned shoes that YOU DONT NEED

Wife: speaking of don't need... I guess you won't be NEEDING anything out of me at night anymore???

Me: WELL, IM JUST PISSED THAT THAT DAMNED STORE HAD TO OPEN SO EARLY & IT PUT YOU IN HARMS WAY!! I JUST GET SCARED WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT BECAUSE YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HURT!

Note: that was an ACTUAL argument back in the day. Haha!
