But, just for a second, can you imagine the meltdowns that would be underway around here if one of ours - say, Tillery - posted that pic from another school. We'd have changed his thread title to "soft verbal," at best and it'd be "he gone" all over the place.

In my opinion this has been the trend the last few years, now we got to start closing some of these deals instead of being left at the altar.

Amazing what a NC appearance and an undefeated season does. Additionally exposure in the south is paying dividends. We need to start winning consistently and it will all fall into place.

Consistently turn in 10-win seasons, maybe with a playoff appearance every few years, and it'll happen.

I agree and I think BVG's attacking style defense could change our defensive recruiting, no elite defensive players want to play in a passive-react style defense in my opinion so bringing him in with his experience and aggressive style could pay huge dividends with kids like Brown

Brown is a solid player and a big piece of our DL moving forward. Losing him would be a big loss for us.

This is one reason why ND needs to seal the deal on the Ga game. Doing the summer camp will help the Irish, but playing and beating Ga on their turf would go a long way in the recruiting front. Also, got to think that BVG still has plenty of contacts down this way and one would think he can at least get in where otherwise the Irish could not have.

He has huge size and lenght but is really this guy a five star? Sometimes he plays in slow motion. I think Hill, Trumbetti or Williams look even better but i guess Brown plays against better competition.

Agree. I'll tell you what... Jhonny Williams has more pass rushing upside than anyone we've recruited since '11. His technique, strength, etc. need a lot of of work and he might need a couple years to make an impact... but his closing speed and overall athletic ability is dreamy. He also has the frame (don't buy the listed 6'6" he's closer to 6'4" but it's still a solid frame) to probably beef up right around 255. He was criminally underrated based on poor competition and the fact that he was a very late bloomer.

I absolutely love all the potential pass rushers we got in '14... Blankenship might be most physically ready to play, Trumbetti might be a better fit for OLB than a true DE but is also crazy athletic, Hill is definitely more of a rush linebacker type of body than DE but his film is jaw dropping in terms of how violent he is with his hands and how disruptive he is. These four guys are all special and with the exception of Trumbetti didn't get nearly the accolades they deserved. Every single one is at least a mid/high 4 in my book. Loved our recruiting class last year.
