Why was there never quesitons asked/reports on his ND visit?

Very strange considering the drama with his recruitment.

I saw this tweet the other day, didn't see anyone post of mention it, but I don't have scout to see what he had said.

4) He probably has no intention of decommitting and is not even considering LSU right now, but they are making it very easy for him to take a look.

No one, IMO, takes this many visits to a school he is not even considering.

Thanks. Paging arrowan?

To play devils advocate, whys the staff not actively recruiting other OL if they don't think Tillery's solid?

Same reason they stopped recruiting QBs after BB committed? Perhaps misplaced confidence?

They must think he is solid then, no?

He is also rooming with Hoge at the Opening.

99% of these situations ND gets burned, but for some reason I just think Tillery will be the one guy who sticks. Hopefully he does, but if there is one position where we can afford (God forbid) a decommitment it is on the OL. That being said though, I really think Tillery gets ND, loves ND, and truly understands all that ND can offer him and how well his personality fits the University.

QB is a completely different animal IMO. Only real position where you get one guy and then both parties basically agree to stop looking at others. Every other position you recruit more than one guy - but QB is special. Mike Frank even said this is why BK and ND were so mad - they tell all QB recruits not to commit to ND unless they are 100% in because it is a mutual promise stronger than a usual verbal at QB.

Can't speak to who the staff would target if a flip were to occur. But I like the Rosene kid committed to Duke.

Great overall experience. Loves Hiestand and liked getting to know Hoge more as they will spend a lot of time together. He will be Pre-med and went over the academics. LSU coming hard after him. Looking to OV for the Michigan game.

Exactly. I feel like we are set at OL. the depth is pretty good so far. HH will have no problem moving forward. I hope Jerry decides to flip sooner than later if he does so we arent scrambling. IDK what other '15 OL guys we are after.

I agree & i also think BK should just cut ties with Jerry so we could focus all of our energy on other tackles. ND is not just a rebound, we're a slam dunk.

I know Barnett was doing something similar up until a week before he bailed, but it looks like Jerry is still repping ND to other recruits

Jerry wants to major in Biology and Theology, he intends to go into medicine and we did a good job of showing him the path and the support he will have with such a full plate. I have avoided posting my thoughts because they are conjecture and they don't matter. While anything could happen I believe Jerry gets Notre Dame and I think he likes everything that we are about, any time around the coaches, players, students, or University only make that clearer to him. I am guardedly optimistic, and think when we get him up there for Michigan with all the other kids on campus, we could place ourselves in a position where we won't be overtaken.

Samesies, and the only reason he isn't ours is because we passed. Also, Solomon isn't a bad prospect either (but he will need development, which is fine because we've got OL depth).

Not going to lose sleep over what happens in OL recruiting because I think our past two hauls are good enough to get serious mileage and depth... and then next year we should reel in some serious studs.

Tackle: Bars, McGlinchey
Interior: Byrne, Montelus, Mustipher
Flex: Elmer, Bivin, McGovern, Nelson

As long as we've got Hiestand developing these guys we should be in fantastic shape. And we'll continue to reel in talent because kids are going to want to play for Hiestand + there is lots of talent every year in locations we recruit well.

Reps to your quote, sir!

I also think that JT has socialized with the '15 recruits better than some of the guys that have wandered as of late . . .

Also, his message when Barnett left was one of a kid being all in. Someone who didn't care would have just skedaddled without saying anything!

I really don't feel as bad knowing that this happened before the II. I mean we knew he was there and has been there several times. Like a lot of people on here keep saying, whether he stays or goes it's ok, but he really is a perfect fit for ND and it would be a shame to not see what he could accomplish here.

It's just crazy the amount of people who claim to have interactions with the Tillerys and they all sound the same "I talk to his parents at X, they prefer LSU" "I know his sister from X, the family supports LSU"

I mean it could be the greatest smokescreen ever, but otherwise it's Jerry vs The World. I still can't believe that Les Miles' kid came with him to Irish Invasion lol... shrewd move, much like their airplane thing with UCLA last year.

In my opinion, trying to apply logic to Tillery and his status with ND is a crap shoot.

He's an elite recruit from Lousianna who was the first commit of the class. He talks funny and says things typical recuits don't, but in a good way.

Probably one of the weirdest commitments ND had gotten since I've been following.

I'm giving up trying to make sense of it and predict what he ends up doing. There is nothing logical about this one, lol.

This isn't really making a case when ND doesn't typically get the average recruit. So those things would actually fall in line with what ND is accustomed too and therefore bank to Pratorians point, what makes him do weird? The fact he's from LA and committed early? Id say if anything it's unique not weird.

You're trying to tiptoe around what you really mean or youre making 0 sense

Koon I think you might respect my opinion so believe me when I tell you it's in your best interest to take a lap. Stop posting for the rest of the day.

Koon it's gonna be Ok bro I promise.

Tillery has stated he's gonna visit LSU and it's not gonna be the last time. Just how recruiting in the South goes man. I wish we could recruit Tristen Hoge's all day, but we can't.

You wanna win championships you gotta land these kids and deal with all the bullshit

Are you telling Koon it's going to be ok but you inadvertently inserted "is" in place of "it's"or are you telling the rest of us that Koon is going to be ok? Color me confused.

Maybe, I don't know really. I hope Koon is gonna be OK. As far as everyone else, I am pretty sure the sun is coming up tomorrow and Jerry Tillery will still be a ND commit. So, ya I think it's gonna be OK.

Got it. Agreed, sun will come up and others will commit.

Well that’s good, having both LSU and ND fresh in his mind should help him finalize his decision regardless of which school it is.

Do you think he may be he’s "looking" at LSU as a way to alleviate pressure from those folks that are really pushing LSU?

I said this many many pages ago and still believe it.

They must think he is solid then, no?
