'15 OH LB Justin Hilliard (Ohio State Verbal)

As he has visited both places a hundred times, where ever he goes, he has obviously done his due diligence in research and I wish him well. Based off nothing but the fact he keeps visiting both places, I would assume he was relatively evenly split. This past weekend and his confirmation of an announcement date would seem to indicate a decision has been mostly made and that he wants to live with it for a bit before saying it just to be sure he is comfortable in his choice.

I wish him good luck where ever he lands and would doubt extremely that he flips without something major happening in either his life of with the program he announces.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I don't know what he decided, but my obvious wish is ND and what I imagine BVG's attacking D will be.

TIFWIW, but apparently Hilliard has started following a 'ton' of OSU players and commits on twitter as of the past 24 hours.

I haven't been on twitter yet today, but if true, one more reason to let the air out of the balloon of hope.

Guys - Please stop with this same old crap, especially in a recruit's thread. NDSean is crazy optimistic, but his opinions are fine to post, even if they are overly rosy. I ask him to please ensure to make it clear that all posts like that are his opinion, and not fact. If anyone thinks he is posting otherwise, please let me know and it will be addressed. No need to keep coming back to this.

If people keep attacking each other or continue to be harmful or detrimental to the great discussion aspect of this board, short vacations will be doled out. It's getting to be too much, too often.

Interesting. Might be bad, or it might be the next step in wrestling between the easy and the tough choice. The social need may be becoming extroverted. Only then can it be evaluated for what it is.

All of us have desires deep inside. Sometimes what makes them so alluring is when they are so subverted. Once they rise to the top, they become like soap bubbles, bursting in the sun . . .

I am okay with either decision, because if he does choose OSU with all he has shown of his personality at ND, going to ND would have been a mistake. Not because he has poor "choice making skills" but because he would not have the personality to put off that immediate gratification that he would receive as a big man on a big campus. That isn't a need for the guys that we call ND man.

I live in Ohio and have been down to Columbus a ton of times. Does OSU even have a campus? I am not being facetious. I have never seen anything that resembles college campus at all. I really don't see the appeal of the school.

Yes they have a campus. There is a huge quad that is very aesthetically pleasing and generally nice buildings. It's also surrounded by actual eateries and shops. Not at the Notre Dame level but it's still a nice campus.

I'd imagine his recruitment won't be over even after announcing, but I do think the likelihood of a flip with him is significantly lower, seeing he is announcing publicly at his school and what not. Pure speculation.

And they have fans who literally buy a vw beatle and custom design it to make it look like an.OSU helmet. Decals and all. These are just everyday people who drive way too slow and think the left lane is for the posted speed limit

Slow left lane driver is infuriating enough but add diving behind a fricken car that looks like an OSU helmet and you can see how voluntary manslaughter seems justified

Could definitely become a "take" if he put together a good season or something else changed for us, but he'll likely but committed somewhere else by then.

Cornell has also been dropped by virtually all national powers that showed early interest. Just is what it is... awkward tweener with flashes of brilliance and elite athleticism. In one of his interviews post visit he said that he and Hilliard talked about playing together and starting LB U at ND.

You are right and I just reread Tom's visit update with him and he only mentions wanting to visit OSU sometime so I don't think he has real interest in OSU so could be good but still be very surprised if Coney or Hillard end up here.
