Exactly, it's Justin's decision and regardless of where he ends up I will be watching him closely. Just seems like an awesome kid and a hell of a football player

OSU will take at least 3 Ls.

OSU will take at least 3 Ls.

They lost key defensive players, they have the third lowest number of career games started returning on their O-line, and they will have to find an RB to replace the kid that was drafted. Their QB is going to take a lot of hits early.

I think Navy will give them a game, and VTech will get them in Columbus. They will then lose to MSU and one more.

TJ from II says Hilliard's dad favors ND strongly.

This is important, because his dad didn't "drop him off" in Columbus as initially stated. We owe that to the 247 douche nozzle. He stated that Hilliard's dad was their cheering him on with Meyer. That ads a note of perspective, doesn't it?

Been that way for a while. But if Justin and his mom want OSU, that's where he is going.

Does his mom really favor OSU? I find that amazing with her education background and the fact that someone is paying St X tuition for high school, beyond what Cincy offers on the public side.

Closer than you think Lax, I agree he probably goes to OSU however it's not sealed and delivered yet.

I just see all this talk about "yeah but his dad is our corner!" and that's true and we made a VERY valiant run.

But you win some and you lose some and there are a couple people in this thread (you know who you are) who just seem way too optimistic and that's a recipe for disappointment/anger. I see it 80/20 to OSU. I think we've still got a puncher's chance. But I won't even be upset if he picks OSU because he handled his recruitment the right way (not like Chris "Enjoy the Process" Clark or Blake the Flake) and I know we put our best foot forward. I think tactically the only possible things you could look at would be not offering his brother (probably smart) and dropping Cornell (smart? not smart? time will tell).

I just want those couple people to start preparing themselves for the worst but still hope for the best and all that jazz.

Will you eat a booger if he chooses ND?

Considering that's my typical afternoon snack, sure.

I could see us winning out here... I really can. It'd go down like an inverted DaShawn Hand last year where he was a Michigan "lock" but then #RollTide. It would be surprising but not earth shattering.

Just getting sick of reading a bunch of sunshine and rainbows from certain people which I feel is very misleading.

I kinda hope he pulls a shocker and goes to Iowa just to see the responses from both ND and OSU fans.

But really I hope he choses ND.

Consider that a deal. You and that booger will look sexy as hell on vine. I can't wait. #HillardToND. - No weirdo

Are his parents not together? Or is there something at home that needs tended to when he takes these visits to only have one go along?

He also visited Michigan nine times, are they out of the race?

I hope we have better luck with Hillard than we had with Jordan Hicks and Trey DePriest, who were big time LBs from Ohio and very similar to Hilliard in their game.

1. I wasn't upset by that post. When he tried to say he always says "I think", which is a lie, that's when I posted a reply.

2. For the 100th time, it's not the overly abundance of sunshine that gets me, it's the fact that he chastises other members for offering different opinions, backed by facts and quotes, that gets me. Maybe you've missed it or forgot or whatever, but NDSean has been talking shit to other posters dating back over probably 6 months. He didn't do it on this thread but he's done it plenty. Some of us hammer pretty good, but he's got on posters for no reason other than they don't share in his delusion that we are going to get every recruit. It works both ways.

There are plenty of optimistic members that we have zero problems with.

3. His Hilliard prediction isn't controversial to me at all. I never said a word about it. I agree that it's close.

Rocket89 is the board's resident mediator. The only emotions he will tolerate are acceptance, friendliness, respect, and otherwise good vibes. He's even a bigger proponent of ELE than the Koon. He wanted all of us to be nice to Hopkins rather than raising a big stink. He wants everyone to be nice to Sean (and he makes a really salient point about the "opinion" vs. "fact" thing).

You're 100% right that the post Rocket quoted is NOT what got people "pissy"... what got people pissy would be the dozens of posts before that. Ironman and others have had to do cleanup and censoring throughout the thread to keep things from boiling over. He rankles a lot of members... sorry, I meant "know it alls" on this board.

It's funny that my post begat this recent flare up since I've consistently defended Sean's right to say his piece since the moment he joined this board. Disparate viewpoints are great and I personally welcome argument... just like a couple pages back in this thread about Hubbard with TP. We're buds but we passionately disagree on Hubbard. So what? That's what discussion boards are for.

In this case I was just trying to preempt a lot of negative emotions. As truly amazing Hilliard would be for ND on so many levels, I'm not even going to blink if he picks OSU because he did everything the right way and that seems the most probable destination. If people are "surprised" when he picks OSU it's much more likely that they start lashing out at him/Meyer/OSU on this board, Twitter, etc. which'll just be more fool to the fire for guys like that dude at Bucknuts.

Dan Meyer just CB'd Hilliard to ND. I don't know who that is, but it is a Hilliard update.

My post got deleted?

I thought that was something a lot of people could benefit from.

Guys - Please stop with this same old crap, especially in a recruit's thread. NDSean is crazy optimistic, but his opinions are fine to post, even if they are overly rosy. I ask him to please ensure to make it clear that all posts like that are his opinion, and not fact. If anyone thinks he is posting otherwise, please let me know and it will be addressed. No need to keep coming back to this.

If people keep attacking each other or continue to be harmful or detrimental to the great discussion aspect of this board, short vacations will be doled out. It's getting to be too much, too often.

As he has visited both places a hundred times, where ever he goes, he has obviously done his due diligence in research and I wish him well. Based off nothing but the fact he keeps visiting both places, I would assume he was relatively evenly split. This past weekend and his confirmation of an announcement date would seem to indicate a decision has been mostly made and that he wants to live with it for a bit before saying it just to be sure he is comfortable in his choice.

I wish him good luck where ever he lands and would doubt extremely that he flips without something major happening in either his life of with the program he announces.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I don't know what he decided, but my obvious wish is ND and what I imagine BVG's attacking D will be.
