Edit: I found it. He has done a clean up job on it and it now is entirely different. It just says that he is making an announcement, ND is the team to beat according to CBs, and it shows the tweet. Last night it said that he was announcing his college decision and referenced that he had tweeted something.

Yeah, I never looked at the report but his tweet flat out said that Waller was making his commitment today. Clearly, that was inaccurate.

If he's visiting Bama for two days midweek that really does not bode well for us at all. At T Town said, they had another guy on campus so if he left without an offer/commit then they might be pushing on straight to Waller.

OK so yeah now the plan is "finalists" tonight who will get visits. He'll then visit all these schools in June and July. And then make a July decision.

So there is a lonnnnng way to go here and this almost isn't even worth paying attention to until he actually steps foot on campus.

I didn't actually read the report - just went off of Hopkins tweet where he clearly stated a commitment was coming today. I knew something was up when Wiltfong created his own report this morning stating that Waller's tweet didn't necessarily mean a commitment was forth coming.

The 247 guys have to be so fucking pissed at Hopkins for douching it up again and needing to clean up his mess.

I guess it will be better to see it play out with Bama now and when Urban inevitably comes calling down the road, rather than him committing without visiting and weathering another decommitment possibility.

My thoughts exactly. I have seen Hopkins' name and the numerals 247 more in the last two days than I did before the "boycott".

There was never supposed to be a "boycott." Boycotts are dumb. Unless massive, they have a really imperceptible impact and also don't send a clear message. Even if every single ND fan completely boycotted 247, it would only marginally affect their bottom line.

It was supposed to be a mass cancellation movement of paid subscriptions to send a message. It was even said in the original thread that it didn't matter if you planned on staying cancelled or reupping again next week... you needed to cancel to send a message. And that happened.

And worst fears that we were all spitballing about just realized. ND gets in too late, Alabama turns up the heat, and we don't even get a shot. QB is the one position you just absolutely cannot be late like this in recruiting. But that tweet doesn't really make sense with him announcing "finalists" just to commit the next day soooooo........ maybe he commits tonight? Maybe that guy is wrong?
