I love how Floyd was the one with "character concerns" coming out of college and not Blackmon

the thing that always stuck out about Michael Floyd to me was his ability to 'go after the ball'. he has elite hand-strength with regards to catching the ball. on '50-50' balls, and passes where the DB has a decent chance to get the ball, more often than not Floyd is coming down with the ball. he doesn't(didn't) have elite speed(very good speed, just not elite) in college, but he had(has) elite 'pass-catching' skills.

one of the first catches I remember of him(think it was a TD, or a long gain), was from Jimmy Clausen on a flare route, off to the left flat. He caught the ball in stride at about the line of scrimmage and burst down the sideline. He was strong-like-bull

Yea I think this was 1 of 3 TDs he had against Nevada. This play always stuck out in my mind. Just dominant in every way. If he can stay healthy, he could be a top NFL receiver.

My personal favorite is his catch vs FSU where Tommy pretty much threw it directly at the defender away from Floyd's original route, he sees it, redirects, and gives a "that's mine go f*ck yourself" grab over the top of the defender. Oh what could have been if we only had an elite QB (not to bash on Tommy).

What a difference makes when you have a QB that can put the ball where it needs to be.

Had him last year...think he's going to do a lot better this year.

I think in general the Cardinals are going to be alot better. Ellington is gonna get a ton or carries, and Floyd should stand out this year.

I'm going for Ellington and Floyd in the draft. I'm in a 4 player keeper league and I got second pick so I'm defiantly going for Ellington the Floyd the next round

That footwork on the TD. Wowza. Also, his blocking is better than ever, which is saying something. Such a great all around wr.

He started the year slow, but really came in the second half of the season.
