I welcome another 4 star player, but i am wondering does that mean that Boykins may pull the trigger soon?

he has no impact on Boykins because he is strictly the slot man we had been coveting.

This doesn't have much impact on Boykins, if at all. We need and want 1 outside WR (W) and neither Guyton or Sander really cover that. However, this does make things interesting for guys like Newsome, who I absolutely love. He seems to good to pass up.

Steve Hare posted on the II board that he was aware Sanders was visiting but didn't know exactly when and CJ is very hard to get in touch with.

Per II and his father, the place felt like home when he visited. The people treated them very well. When they were on campus CJ looked at his father and said "Dad this feels like home." His father told II "Thats when you've gotta make a decision."

This kid WON'T get flipped even if Urban Liar offers.

Welcome young man.

Per BGI he visited this last weekend. Came on Friday and stayed through Sunday with Mother, Stepdad, and sister. Rolled out of bed this morning and it just hit him that ND is where he wants to be. Calls it home. Credits his very good relationship with Booker, being around the coaching staff, and the players pretty much sealed the deal over the weekend. He's all ND and is very solid in his commitment. "I'm as solid as you can be." Will be talking with Blake since he'll be out in Cali and talking to Booker about who they want him to reach out to.

Doesn't kind of play into BK telling Boykin his spot might be full after June? Just spitballin.

We are trying to get a lot of WR's to visit in June including Strickland and ESB. ESB has been planning a summer visit for awhile now and he also has a summer commitment time frame. Other guys that could visit this summer that may affect Boykins recruitment as a WR (I still believe he's a future TE) would be KJ Hill, Alex O, and Cordell Broadus. Of note the staff told Sanders that they are very high on Broadus and they want him to reach out in the future.

In terms of slot WR, this is the anti-Neal/McKenzie recruitment. That's gotta mean he's a lock, right lol?

Sweet Jesus this was a great pick up. All of the "slot" talk is spot on but our return game just got a serious shot in the arm. Welcome CJ!

His father is an evangelical Christian who does a lot of good work around Nashville and is very focused on philanthropy around the city. It does not surprise me that his son found a university with rich religious tradition to his liking.

Welcome aboard, CJ! This is a great pick-up.

To follow up on this. Ryan Callahan a 247 writer, had some very good things to say about CJ the person. He's an ND fit off the field. As did his coach per BGI. Gave glowing reviews of CJ.

i worked with him years ago on "6 feet under". he was a treat. a helluva good kid. very professional. good family--not typical "studio mom". and he was like 9 or 10 or something.

Congrats Irish fans. Nice pickup. And his times in the 100 and 200 look pretty awesome as well.

So we may end up with 2 slot receivers of unusual size named CJ.

CJ the Greater and CJ the Lesser?

It certainly seems like these kids that come from famous backgrounds are really finding common ground at ND. Kinda cool.

At this point, Snoop's son has to be considered a ND lock. He'd be the most famous of all IMO.
