Do you prefer a dark roast, a light "breakfast blend," decaffeinated (shudder!!!) or "Irish" or not?

Wooly isn't picky-- his only requisite is that is wet. He doesn't even care if it is warm.

They average over a million viewer a game and have a final game with 1.5 Billion. So lets do some VERY conservative math here.

48 games x 1 million viewers = 48 million
1 game x 1.5 Billion
Season total = 1.98 Billion television viewers

1.5 billion + 48 million = 1.548 billion not 1.98 billion

A few thoughts:

I'll say it-- this is probably the most over-hyped sports/pop culture story since....?????

The foundation of all this a scorned mistress trying to make a name/15 minutes/money for herself.

Does a jaded mistress change what he said? Yes and no.

While, in parts, deplorable what Sterling said, he didn't break any laws. He stated an opinion. Nothing more. I think if people disagree with him, they should try and hit him where it hurts-- the wallet...and we're already seeing some of that with sponsors backing away from him. Good for them.

I think if players and employees truly feel as outraged as they say they are...then put your money where your mouth is and walk away from him and the team. I don't necessarily find honor in somebody being against what their boss says/believes...yet is ok with cashing checks from him. I guess this goes more for players and coaches who don't need the money quite like Joe Blow working in the ticket office.

I think it's tricky for the commissioner in going after one of his 30 bosses. What can he and what will he do? The league has been ok with Sterling's actions (and definitely some questionable instances in his past) up to this point in time, as evidenced by their lack of any action ever brought against him. Now something he says to a jaded mistress (almost assuredly without his consent) is brought to the forefront and they want to do something? Nobody ever knew he felt this way? I have a hard time believing that. I'm not sure what the league can ultimately do to him? Again, he broke no laws (and in this case, may actually be a victim of a crime...at least in a civil court). Is he not entitled to his thoughts, however much we may disagree with him? At the same time, the other owners and the commish have every right to pursue punishment against him how they see fit, as long as it is within the bylaws of their organization.

And I'll say this, many of the people speaking out against Sterling are some of the same ones that have no problems making jokes about white people (even on the record, TV, radio, interviews, etc.) and actively choose not to associate with white people. I can't help but feel this quite hypocritical. I also feel it's hypocritical for news agencies that are literally all over this story, never find the time to report instances of others making disparaging remarks about other races. Lack of consistency in covering "news" wreaks of an agenda, and I often find "reporters" and "news agencies" with agendas to be nauseating.

Not trying to defend him at all, but why would an extreme racist allow a black person to be the head coach of his team? There are plenty of qualified white coaches out there--I just find that aspect of this situation confusing...

The same reason that black people were used as overseers post Civil War. The crops need tending. This guy is a terrible human being.

I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them? Do I know that I have— Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game? Is there 30 owners, that created the league?

How funny that the political trolling from yesterday was inaccurate...

http://www.politifact.com/punditfac...e-report/drudge-says-clippers-owner-democrat/

Note: It still doesn't matter. Just found it amusing.

Yeah because it was assumed that since he donated to democrats most recently that he is a democrat. Well I find that many people will donate to whoever as long as they give them what they want (ie Goldman Sachs in 2008 was Obama's biggest contributor). Now they are primarily Republican donors because Elizabeth Warren beat their lackey and is coming after Wall Street like a pitbull. Regardless it does not matter about being a racist POS.

That's the underlying point. However, there's no denying that IF Sterling were a big Republican donor/ activist the media would be running like bulls with it.

Eh.... IDK about that. He actually is a Republican.... so who he donates to is really only out of self-interest. Regardless, magogian took the lazy pot shot propagated by right wing idealogues that turned out to be inaccurate. A lesson in what not to do that needs to be learned by many of us.

That was not his underlying point at all. The original poster's point was that "unsurprisingly he was a democrat", as in he wasn't surprised that an old, rasict bastard was a democrat.

But the article about shows that not only is magogian a trolling idiot, but completely incorrect one at that. If you didn't read the article, it clearly states that he was a Republican. So it addresses two points; 1) that he's not a democrat and 2) that democrats didn't immediately go after him because of his political alliance. Since, as the article show, he is a Republican, and no one went after him.

Further, people are going after him because of the POS things he said, not because he was or might be a Republican or Democrat. In fact it was the right leaning media trying to make him out to be a democrat based on his political contributions so they could make up a narrative to suit their world view.

Sorry, I wasn't talking about the poster. I was referring to the entire situation. No matter what his political affiliations, if you're a racist POS you're a racist POS. I know a few on both sides of the aisle.

Your probably right. Keep Monroe and Drummond and trade Stuckey and picks for Rondo. We would at least be relevant in the east.

But seriously Doc does look like the bear from that movie.
