ND's best bet would be to somehow get Holy Cross to field a "JUCO" team (I don't even know if that's possible, because it's a 4 year school, but w/e... I'm spit balling) and use that as a farm system for non-qualifiers interested in ND. That way they could also monitor/encourage their academic performance and plug holes as needed with players from Holy Cross.

I can't understand why a football player with financial need (I would imagine a large percentage of them would qualify) can't just be placed on need-based aid if we need to do it to create more scholarships. Obviously they would not be able to play anymore, but that's the point

Can we get some commentary on this? I think it would be a legitimate way to circumvent our "handicap" while staying true to the ND way. I think its plausible, unless someone would argue that the players wouldn't financially need a full ride. But, what if they leave it so that they just have to pay a small amount? Thoughts?

With the closing of the 2013 class ND football future looks very bright. Yes we didn't get the depth we needed for a few positions but we still have a class a lot of schools woud die for. And i was even folled when we got the commitment for the walk on punter. That i read is ery good so this class is very good.
