My point is that he wouldn't have been invited to camps if he would have went to a Nevada public school probably. He doesn't seem talented enough that he would have been sponsored to go to Gorman if his parents couldn't afford it.
Put 2 and 2 together... and the question arises of whether he is a product of being put in the best situation at all times. Being able to attend a private school with a good team, getting to go to the best camps, etc. I'm not saying that he isn't talented or undeserving... I just ask myself if he would have had the opportunity to be where he was without the money? Would he be even offered if he went to a public school? Maybe... but that was my question.

I think he plays for the team because he's one of the best corners they have regardless of name. He's not just on the team he is a starting corner.
I would always agree that some kids do benefit from having the best of the best at all times. From training to facilities, etc. However, it still takes hard work especially for
Nico to get to where he is. Due to his size.
I do think that part of the deciding factor here is school. We are developing a pipeline to Gorman and he is on par with other kids that fit this profile so the school pushes him over the top for the offer. I don't think thats necessarily a bad thing. He has an experience at Gorman from an athletic standpoint that is similar to that at ND so that familiarity could help him thrive. Gorman is big time football and so is ND.
-I'll add that Kelly has always said that he wants to recruit out of programs that are similar to ND. Now we'll break profile for obvious players but the likeness of programs is important for setting expectations.
